220px-Osama_bin_LadenA startling new report shows President Obama lied to the American people and the world about what really happened with the Osama Bin Laden raid.

With many Americans and leaders of the world already skeptical of Barack Obama, this most recent discovery further demonstrates his lack of leadership and brews anger and distrust over Obama’s ability to handle U.S. foreign policy.

Investigative journalist Seymour M. Hersh wrote a 10,000 word expose published on the London Review of Books website claiming Obama rushed to take credit for the Bin Laden raid.

The Hill reports more on this shocking new information:

“High-level lying nonetheless remains the modus operandi of U.S. policy, along with secret prisons, drone attacks, Special Forces night raids, bypassing the chain of command, and cutting out those who might say no,” Hersh wrote of the Obama administration’s counter terrorism policies.

Hersh based his report on a single, anonymous source. This individual, he said, is a “retired senior intelligence official who was knowledgeable about the initial intelligence about bin Laden’s presence in Abottabad.”

Americans already distrust the Obama administration and have no faith in his ability to lead. As Commander in Chief, Obama is expected to lead with integrity – and that means honoring the truth at all costs. This latest report shows Obama was not honest during the Bin Laden raid which damages U.S. credibility.

What else is Obama hiding from the American people? Reports like this further fuel the distrust Americans have towards Obama.

Hersh continues with the startling report:

“It’s been four years since a group of US Navy Seals assassinated Osama bin Laden in a night raid on a high-walled compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The killing was the high point of Obama’s first term, and a major factor in his re-election. The White House still maintains that the mission was an all-American affair, and that the senior generals of Pakistan’s army and Inter-Services Intelligence agency (ISI) were not told of the raid in advance. This is false, as are many other elements of the Obama administration’s account. The White House’s story might have been written by Lewis Carroll: would bin Laden, target of a massive international manhunt, really decide that a resort town forty miles from Islamabad would be the safest place to live and command al-Qaida’s operations? He was hiding in the open. So America said.

The most blatant lie was that Pakistan’s two most senior military leaders – General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, chief of the army staff, and General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, director general of the ISI – were never informed of the US mission.”

America needs a leader who is not afraid to lead with the truth. America was built on courageous leaders who weren’t afraid to make the tough decisions needed to keep America safe without jeopardizing the credibility of America.

Reports like this do nothing but undermine our President’s ability to handle complex foreign policy matters.

With our world in dangerous times, we need a President who can lead with integrity, even if it isn’t popular.
