latino votersAlien illegally voted five times after welfare office registered her, caught only because she tried to register three times

Normally, Rosa Ortega would be commended for coming out to vote in five elections.

But Rosa is not an American citizen.  She is a citizen of Mexico.

And she was registered to vote by welfare officials.

Now she finds herself in another government building, the Tarrant County, Texas jail.

Ortega was arrested on Friday, November 6th, and is being held on $10,000 bond.

Her attorney “Domingo Garcia says when Ortega had a child she applied for assistance under the Women Infants and Children program. That’s when Garcia says she was handed a voter registration form and told to fill it out,” KRLD-AM reports.

Garcia claims his client has been a legal resident alien for 12 years who was “confused” and did not mean to vote.

Ortega illegally registered, and illegally voted, in Dallas County.

She was not caught until she tried to illegally register again twice in neighboring Tarrant County.

Ortega’s first voter registration application was rejected.  It was accepted when she re-submitted it and checked “yes” on the box asking if she was an American citizen.

Ortega voted in three general elections, 2005, 2010 and 2012.

She also voted in two Republican primaries. Garcia claims his client is a conservative Christian Republican.  Garcia is a liberal Democrat activist who ran for Congress in the Fort Worth area in 2012.

The arrest is an example of something Democrats claim does not exist – foreigners voting in American elections.

It is unknown how many foreigners are illegally voting in U.S. elections, either under illegal registrations by government officials or using stolen identities.

“Protecting the integrity of elections is essential to our democracy and a top priority of my administration,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a joint statement with the Tarrant County District Attorney. “As long as there are criminals seeking to exploit our system of elections, we stand ready to investigate, prosecute and restore confidence that the will of the people of Texas is heard.”

“This is a big deal,” said Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney Sharen Wilson. “People insist this kind of thing doesn’t happen, but it’s happening right here at home. The principle of one citizen, one vote is one of our most fundamental rights as U.S. citizens, and must be protected.”

If Ortega was only caught after illegally registering three times and illegally voting five times under her own name, how many non-citizens and illegal aliens are getting away with illegally voting and actually trying to hide it?
