President Trump recently hosted a rally in Youngstown, Ohio spreading his “Make America Great Again” message.

At the rally, Trump made a special promise to his thousands of supporters.

The Commander-in-Chief promised to promote policies that would keep United States streets safe–and eradicate a major problem as a result.

Donald Trump promised to keep America safe by continuing to impede the flow of immigration.

The Daily Caller reported:

Trump credited his policies and anti-illegal immigration rhetoric in keeping border crossings and apprehensions to a minimum.

“Since I took office we have cut illegal immigration on our Southern border by record numbers–78 percent,” Trump told the crowd before they started chanting “Build the Wall.”

“Just so you understand, we’ve already started fixing much of the good wall that’s already there,” Trump said. “But, we are breaking records.”

The president assured the crowd that Mexican officials told him that many people are no longer even trying to cross the border because they are afraid of the consequences under the Trump administration.

In June, U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported a 53 percent drop in the number of apprehensions at the border, which correlates with fewer people attempting to cross illegally.

While immigration is a major issue, what is worse is the violence that occurs from criminals who cross the United States border.

Illegal gang activity has long been a problem in American border states, and in recent years, gang violence has expanded past border states.

Drug dealing rings have since taken root in the dredges of the United States, and have led to many innocent lives lost because of gang violence.

Thanks to President Trump and his immigration reform policies, even the most dangerous of gangs are being disassembled.

“We are cracking down hard on the foreign criminal gangs that have brought illegal drugs, violence, horrible bloodshed to peaceful neighborhoods all across our country,” Trump continued. “We are throwing MS-13 the hell out of here so fast.”

The MS-13 gang, which has links with Mexican drug cartels, has long been a focus of the Trump administration. In May, a law enforcement task force took out a group of MS-13 leaders in Los Angeles, California.

“Hard to believe we’re talking about our great country,” Trump told the Ohio crowd. “We are actually liberating towns and cities. People are screaming from their windows ‘thank you, thank you’ to the border patrol and to General Kelly’s great people that come in and throw the thugs out.”

American citizens can rest easy knowing President Trump is refocusing on efforts to combat both illegal immigration and drug reform policies.
