One of the Democrats’ rising stars found their political career in ashes.

Americans could not believe the mess that went public.

And now this top Democrat made a jaw-dropping confession about a gay sex scandal.

Former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum was seen as one of the party’s rising young stars.

Gillum lost a close race for Florida Governor to Ron DeSantis in 2018, but many in the party believed the young Democrat’s best days were still ahead of him.

That all changed this past March.

Police allegedly found Gillum incoherent and naked in a hotel room with a homosexual escort who allegedly overdosed on crystal meth.

In an interview with fake news CNN, Gillum discussed the incident in an attempt to rehabilitate his political career.

“To be very honest with you, when you didn’t ask the question, you put it out there is whether or not I identify as gay,” Gillum told fake news CNN.

Gillum explained to fake news CNN that he wasn’t a homosexual.

But Gillum adopted the language of the identity politics social justice left and claimed he “identified as bisexual”.

“And the answer is I don’t identify as gay, but I do identify as bisexual, and that is something that I have never shared publicly before,” Gillum added.

Gillum then tried to drum up sympathy for himself claiming he had suicidal thoughts after police found him allegedly drunk in a hotel room with a homosexual escort.

“Everyone believes the absolute worst about that day,” Gillum continued. “At this stage, I don’t have anything else to have to conceal. I literally got broken down to my most bare place, to the place where I wasn’t even sure that I wanted to live. Not because of what I had done but because of everything that was being said about me.”

Gillum then claimed being found in a compromising situation with a homosexual despite being married made him the victim in this situation.

“What was most hurtful was this belief that I was somehow living a lie in my marriage and in my family. That was the most hurtful to me. Because I believe we are all entitled to mistakes, and I believe we are entitled to those mistakes without having every other respectable and redeeming part of our lives invalidated,” Gillum added.

Gillum could be trying to set himself up for a political comeback.

Both Senator Marco Rubio and Governor DeSantis are running for re-election in November 2022.

If Donald Trump wins re-election, 2022 will be the midterm election in a President’s sixth year in office.

The out of power party usually gains seats in that scenario.

And Andrew Gillum believes by repositioning himself as an identity politics martyr he can rebuild his political career.
