Critics blasted Barack Obama’s Iran deal as conceding too much ground to a rogue regime that would cheat the deal at every turn.

Now, there is frightening new evidence Iran continued to barrel ahead with a missile program in defiance of international sanctions.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard fired off ballistic missiles with the message “Israel Must be Wiped Out” — in violation of United Nations sanctions.

And Obama’s response?

“Let’s chat about it.”

Reuters reports:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) test-fired several ballistic missiles on Tuesday, state television said, challenging a United Nations resolution and drawing the threat of a diplomatic response from the United States.

Two months ago, Washington imposed sanctions against businesses and individuals linked to Iran’s missile program over a test of the medium-range Emad missile carried out in October, 2015.

U.S. State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Washington would review the incident and, if it is confirmed, raise it in the U.N. Security Council and seek an “appropriate response.”

“We also continue to aggressively apply our unilateral tools to counter threats from Iran’s missile program,” Toner added, in a possible reference to additional U.S. sanctions.

Obama’s weak-kneed posture toward the Iranian government contributed to American agreement on the Iran deal, which many observers point out allows Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon.

The appeasement agreement with Iran allows them to keep thousands of centrifuges, more than enough to build a nuclear weapon.

And the deal only temporarily prevents Iran from developing an ICBM deployment system, opening up the possibility in less than a decade.

Yet despite the Iranian government wringing a sweetheart agreement out of Obama and other international governments, the regime in Tehran is now threatening to walk away from the deal.

The Washington Free Beacon reports:

Iran on Tuesday again threatened to walk away from the nuclear agreement reached last year with global powers, hours after the country breached international agreements by test-firing ballistic missiles.

Iran’s most recent ballistic missile test, which violates current U.N. Security Council resolutions, comes a day after the international community’s nuclear watchdog organization disclosed that it is prohibited by the nuclear agreement from publicly reporting on potential violations by Iran.

Iranian leaders now say that they are poised to walk away from the deal if the United States and other global powers fail to advance the Islamic Republic’s “national interests.”

They are demanding their “interests be met” or they will walk away from the deal.

Instead of a strong response, the Obama regime continues to promote negotiations from a position of weakness.

So it’s no wonder Iran continues to push the envelope on their missile program.

Unless America responds more forcefully to this threat, we must ask what the consequences of this evil will be.
