One of the Obama regime’s greatest scandals just took a turn for the worse.

When it was revealed Obama’s IRS was targeting Tea Party groups for political harassment, the regime claimed the extent of the scandal was limited.

But a new bombshell report reveals the stunning scope of the Obama regime’s political bullying.

In response to a federal judge’s demands, the IRS finally released a near-complete list of groups targeted by the Obama regime for political harassment.

And there were more groups targeted than previously thought.

The Washington Times reports:

“The government released names of 426 organizations. Another 40 were not released as part of the list because they had already opted out of being part of the class-action suit.

That total is much higher than the 298 groups the IRS‘ inspector general identified back in May 2013, when investigators first revealed the agency had been subjecting applications to long — potentially illegal — delays, and forcing them to answer intrusive questions about their activities. Tea party and conservative groups said they was the target of unusually heavy investigations and longer delays.

Edward D. Greim, the lawyer who’s pursuing the case on behalf of NorCal Tea Party Patriots and other members of the class, said the list also could have ballooned toward the end of the targeting as the IRS, once it knew it was being investigated, snagged more liberal groups in its operations to try to soften perceptions of political bias.”

The Obama regime’s targeting, and their refusal to tell the truth or produce the emails related to the matter, is why Congressional Republicans took the unusual step of starting impeachment proceedings against IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen.

Koskinen lied to Congress and failed to produce emails the agency knew existed.

And while Republican leadership resisted this push for impeachment, rank-and-file conservatives were able to force the issue and initiate the proceedings.

It was a second layer of scandal on an already ugly incident that shook the foundations of our democracy.

When the Tea Party first exploded onto the scene it was a direct threat to the Obama regime’s Big Government agenda.

Rather than try and win at the ballot box in the 2010 mid-terms, the regime engaged in a campaign of intimidation and bullying trying to force Tea Party groups out of the political arena.

The Times reports on how the IRS targeted groups for harassment:

“Sixty of the groups on the list released last month have the word “tea” in their name, 33 have “patriot,” eight refer to the Constitution, and 13 have “912” in their name — which is the monicker of a movement started by conservatives. Another 26 group names refer to “liberty,” though that list does include some groups that are not discernibly conservative in orientation.

Among the groups that appear to trend liberal are three with the word “occupy” in their name.”

This list and specific targeting method destroys Obama’s contention that there wasn’t “a smidgeon of corruption at the IRS”.

The groups selected for harassment were specifically targeted because they were conservative-leaning Tea Party groups opposed to the Obama agenda.

Obama appears to have escaped accountability for his regime’s anti-American use of government resources to silence American’s First Amendment right to free speech.

Will his IRS Commissioner pay the price for this growing scandal?
