See the disturbing details:

Rather than secure the release of the four American hostages held in Iran as a pre-condition of any deal, Obama continued to appease the rogue government in Tehran.

The United States traded seven prisoners and agreed to not pursue criminal charges against 14 other terrorists in exchange for the release of our prisoners.

This type of deal declares open season on Americans traveling abroad as terrorists governments can now use them as bargaining chips in any negotiation.

Republican front-runner Donald Trump blasted the swap on Twitter:

Texas Senator Ted Cruz, who is currently running in second place for the Republican nomination, also strongly criticized the deal.

Politico reports:

“It reflects a pattern we’ve seen in the Obama administration over and over again of negotiating with terrorists and making deals and trades that endanger U.S. safety and security,” the Republican presidential hopeful said on Fox News Sunday.

With the seven prisoners the U.S. released and 14 more it agreed not to prosecute, “that’s 21 terrorists helping Iran develop nuclear weapons that they intend to use to murder us,” Cruz said. “The result of this — every bad actor on Earth has been told, ‘Go capture Americans.’ If you want to get terrorists out of jail, capture an American … President Obama is in the ‘let’s-make-a-deal’ business. That’s a really dangerous precedent.”

This isn’t the first time Obama has been blasted for strengthening our enemies through prisoner exchanges.

A standard portion of Trump’s stump speech has included strafing Obama for the Bowe Bergdahl prisoner swap where five of the Taliban’s most hardened commanders were handed over in a trade for Sergeant Bergdahl, who was captured by the Taliban after abandoning his post.

In both cases, the Obama regime directly negotiated with terrorists in defiance of long-standing U.S. policy.

But no one should be surprised.

Obama’s worldview is that the United States is the root of all evil.

It’s why he refuses to say the words “radical Islamic terrorism.”

It’s why, after the jihadists in San Bernardino murdered 14 Americans, he defended Islam and blamed American conservatives and gun owners for the terrorist attack.

So reasonable people are left wondering if Obama is making these prisoner exchanges because he doesn’t believe he is negotiating with terrorists.

Obama must not view Iran or the Taliban as America’s enemies.

Iran was rewarded for capturing Americans.

Clear-eyed observers see this as emboldening Iran and other terrorist networks to capture Americans and hold out for either their captured fighters — or as Trump pointed out — hundreds of billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars.

But maybe Obama just sees this as the cost of doing business and the price America must for being the bad guy who has bullied the world for too long.
