Terrorism has struck again in England.

An explosion at a concert by pop singer Ariana Grande killed 22 and wounded at least 50 early Tuesday morning.

ISIS celebrated, but targeting this concert is a new low for terrorists.

Grande is a pop superstar whose audience attracts young children and adults.

The concert venue in Manchester was filled with teenage girls out to have a good time and enjoy their favorite artist’s music.

Their fun all came to a halt toward the end of the concert when the arena was rocked by an explosion.

Children and their parents were ripped to shreds by a nail bomb authorities believe was detonated by a suicide bomber.

In the wake of the bombing, Twitter accounts belonging to ISIS began to post celebratory messages.

Yahoo reports:

“Islamic State supporters celebrated on social media on Tuesday after a blast at a concert venue in the north of England killed at least 19 people, although the militant Islamist group has not formally claimed responsibility.

British police have said they are treating the blast at the Manchester Arena at the end of a concert by U.S. singer Ariana Grande as a “terrorist incident”. More than 50 people were wounded.

Twitter accounts affiliated to Islamic State have used hashtags referring to the blast to post celebratory messages, with some users encouraging similar attacks elsewhere.

Some messages described the attack as an act of revenge in response to air strikes in Iraq and Syria.

“It seems that bombs of the British airforce over children of Mosul and Raqqa has just came back to #Manchester,” one user named Abdul Haqq said on Twitter, in reference to the Iraqi and Syrian cities held by the militants where a U.S.-led coalition, of which Britain is a member, is conducting air strikes.”

This is a new low for terrorists.

Now they are specifically targeting children.

Previous attacks had focused on nightclubs and other public places mostly frequented by adults.

But by carrying out an attack at a concert with an artist whose fans are known to be young girls, terrorists have announced there is no line they will not cross.

NBC News reports:

“Children were among 22 people killed in a suicide attack after an Ariana Grande concert at Britain’s Manchester Arena, police said early Tuesday.

The bomber also died when he detonated an improvised explosive device near one of the venue’s exits at 10:33 p.m. local time (5:33 p.m. ET) on Monday, according to authorities.

Officials said 59 other people were wounded, including some with life-threatening injuries. Many others remained missing.”

NBC News also reports on the attack described by witnesses:

“Nicola McGraw Murray who was at the concert with her 12-year-old daughter Olivia told NBC News that she witnessed ” a red-orange-looking flash” and heard an “incredibly loud bang.”

She added: “Within seconds as you can imagine it was chaos and people were panicking and running to try and get out the door … We were getting swept with the people crushing to get out and I was terrified my daughter would get crushed. At one point, she was getting dragged away from me but I managed to pull her into me and force her in front of me while trying to direct her to the door and down the steps.”

McGraw Murray, who had traveled to the concert from the Scottish town of Hamilton, said the area outside the venue was “full of people who were completely traumatized — kids and adults alike all crying, screaming, some still running away … adults in cars who were due to be picking up kids screaming trying to find them.”

Donald Trump reacted by condemning the perpetrators as “evil losers”.

The Associated Press reports:

“So many young, beautiful innocent people living and enjoying their lives, murdered by evil losers in life,” Trump said, echoing the theme he presented during his meetings with Arab leaders in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The White House said it was Trump’s idea to use the term “evil losers.”

Trump declared that he would not call the attackers “monsters,” a term he believes they would prefer, instead choosing “losers,” a longtime favorite Trump insult and one he has directed at comedian Rosie O’Donnell, Cher and others.”
