Chelsea Clinton had a really bad week.

Her mom was the target of stand-up comedians, and social media backfired on her big-league.

But the worst part was that she never saw it coming.

Liberals are used to conservatives being the butt of the jokes.

They have zero sense of humor when they are the punchline.

Chelsea Clinton proved her thin skin at Variety’s “Power of Women” luncheon.

Saturday Night Live star Vanessa Bayer was hosting the event and she cracked a joke at Hillary Clinton’s expense.

The late-night comedy show routinely savages Donald Trump and his team, and conservatives are supposed to suck it up because laughing at yourself – no matter how mean-spirited the joke – is one of the ways those in power are supposed to act.

Chelsea proved she could not handle even the slightest joke at Hillary’s expense.

She fired back in her remarks.

The Daily Caller reports:

Variety held its “Power of Women” luncheon in New York City Friday, and one of the honorees was Chelsea Clinton. While introducing the honorees, “Saturday Night Live” star Vanessa Bayer made a joke about Chelsea’s mother, Hillary Clinton, losing the presidential election. Chelsea, after her remarks on childhood obesity, took a swipe at the comedienne’s joke.

In her introduction, Bayer said, “OK, we have some pretty amazing honorees this afternoon: Jessica Chastain, Gayle King, Blake Lively, Audra McDonald, Tina Knowles, Shari Redstone, and Chelsea Clinton. And they all have one thing in common: None of their moms are president.” The liberal New York crowd groaned.

After the speech, Chelsea couldn’t let the joke go. “Vanessa, we may be able to say in this room today that no one’s mother is currently president, but someday, someone’s will be,” Clinton concluded. The crowd cheered.

Clinton then got into a Twitter spat with conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.

It did not go well for Clinton.

Liberals love to mine through Trump’s old tweets to hold them up for mockery, and Shapiro returned the favor by responding to a ridiculous Chelsea Clinton tweet from April.

Then it escalated into a back-and-forth about the GOP’s efforts to repeal ObamaCare.

Finally, one user got the last word in and shut Clinton down.
