Donald Trump Brett Kavanaugh

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s sudden passing scrambled the politics of the Supreme Court and the 2020 Presidential Election.

Now an unlikely source influenced the outcome of the confirmation fight.

And Brett Kavanaugh played this big role in who replaces Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

In order to confirm President Trump’s nominee to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg, several dominos had to fall.

The first was Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell agreeing to schedule a floor vote.

That happened.

Next, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman and RINO Lindsey Graham needed to move the nomination through his committee and to the Senate floor for a vote.

In 2016 after Antonin Scalia passed away, Graham declared that Republicans blocked Merrick Garland’s nomination and that if there was a Republican president in an election year making a nomination, Graham would also say let the voters decide.

“I want you to use my words against me. If there’s a Republican president in 2016 and a vacancy occurs in the last year of the first term, you can say Lindsey Graham said, ‘Let’s let the next president, whoever it might be, make that nomination,'” Graham declared. “And you could use my words against me and you’d be absolutely right.”

But Graham reversed course and agrees to hold hearings and a committee vote on President Trump’s nominee.

Graham blasted the Democrats for lecturing him on judicial nominations after the appalling stunts they pulled falsely accusing Brett Kavanaugh of gang rape and sexual assault during his confirmation process.

“Being lectured by Democrats about how to handle judicial nominations is like an arsonist advising the Fire Department,” Graham wrote on social media.

Graham explained the two factors that led to him changing his mind.

“Democrats chose to set in motion rules changes to stack the court at the Circuit level and they chose to try to destroy Brett Kavanaugh’s life to keep the Supreme Court seat open,” Graham wrote. “You reap what you sow.”

Graham recounted how Harry Reid eliminated the filibuster for lower court nominations in 2013 and the Democrats dragging multiple women out of the woodwork at the last minute to smear Brett Kavanaugh with false allegations of sex crimes as what pushed him past his breaking point.

“The two biggest changes regarding the Senate and judicial confirmations that have occurred in the last decade have come from Democrats.  Harry Reid changed the rules to allow a simple majority vote for Circuit Court nominees dealing out the minority.” Graham added. “Chuck Schumer and his friends in the liberal media conspired to destroy the life of Brett Kavanaugh and hold that Supreme Court seat open.”

“In light of these two events, I will support President @realDonaldTrump in any effort to move forward regarding the recent vacancy created by the passing of Justice Ginsburg,” Graham tweeted.

Democrats so badly overplayed their hand in the Kavanaugh hearing – Graham actually interrupted the proceeding to unleash a tirade that went viral where Graham ripped the Democrats as dangerous and shameless character assassins – that even a RINO like Graham that is always looking to cut a deal finally reached his breaking point.
