Bill Clinton was once lauded as a master communicator.

But now the gaffes keep rolling in.

And his latest verbal misstep just trashed Barack Obama’s signature initiative.

Obamacare is a disaster.

Millions of Americans were kicked off their health plans after Obama lied saying Obamacare would allow you to keep your doctor and your health plan if you liked them.

The latest Obamacare debacle comes in the form of insurers bailing on Obamacare exchanges.

Four states – Alabama, Alaska, Oklahoma and Wyoming – will now offer only one insurer.

This Soviet style system that Obamacare created will push up prices and drive down quality of care.

Enter Bill Clinton.

On the campaign trail in Michigan, the 42nd President diagnosed Obamacare – and for once, he was accurate.

The Daily Caller reports:

“It doesn’t many any sense. The insurance model doesn’t work here,” Clinton said about the government-run marketplaces Obamacare set up. Clinton said that Obamacare “works fine” for people with “modest” incomes or who are eligible for government subsidies, or Medicare. But he added that, “the people that are getting killed in this deal are small business people and individuals who make just a little too much to get any of these subsidies.

“You’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” Clinton said. “It’s the craziest thing in the world.”

Bill Clinton hit the bull’s eye with his comments on Obamacare.

Premiums have increased.

Quality of coverage has declined as the insurance plans Americans previously held became unaffordable.

They were forced to buy less expensive and less comprehensive plans to avoid paying Obamacare’s penalty for not purchasing health insurance.

But conservatives made all these warning years ago.

Still, Democrats continued to claim that when the benefits of Obamacare kicked in, people would see the value of the law.

That clearly has not happened.

Real Clear Politics tracks the polling average on the support/oppose numbers on Obamacare polling and finds that Americans are still against the law by a ten point margin.

Hillary is running to implement Obama’s third term – which means maintaining Obamacare.

Bill Clinton calling the law a “crazy system” only complicates the message.

When Republicans have been able to make elections a referendum on Obamacare – as they did in the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections – they won historic landslides.

In 2012, GOP voters nominated Mitt Romney – the man who invented Obamacare – and the issue was taken off the table leading to an easy Democrat victory.

In what was most likely an effort to protect Hillary Clinton from having to answer for the law’s failures, moderator Lester Holt never mentioned Obamacare during the first Presidential debate.

Now that Bill Clinton is on record blasting Obama’s signature achievement, it’s more likely his comments and the future of the law will be raised at the second Presidential debate.

Will Hillary have a good answer?
