Barack Obama’s excuses are going to cause Democrats a world of trouble.

His latest attempt to avoid legal troubles defies belief.

Barack Obama is making a last-ditch effort to destroy the Obamagate scandal.

Republicans have suspected for a long time that the Obama administration used the FBI and the FISA court in underhanded ways.

Now we know for sure that Obama and Biden knew about at least some of what the FBI was up to.

Obama clearly knew about the FBI listening in on Michael Flynn’s phone call with the Russian ambassador while he was a part of Trump’s incoming administration.

Joe Biden, for his part, asked directly for Michael Flynn to be unmasked.

This isn’t the whole of the scandal.

The other part of the scandal is the fact that the FBI used the Steele dossier in order to get a warrant to spy on Carter Page who then worked for the Trump campaign.

The Steele dossier was a hit piece commissioned by the Clinton campaign and the DNC that was later debunked.

The FBI repackaged the information to make it look like they had multiple sources and made the witnesses Steele quoted look more credible.

Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein admitted that he might not even have read the full warrant before he signed it, when pressed on the topic by Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah.

“On June 29, 2017, you signed off on the third FISA renewal application,” Lee asked: “Did you read that application?”

Rosenstein replied, “Yes.”

But later, he seemed to go back on his earlier statement and said he wasn’t sure he had read every page of it.

“Senator, I have to tell you in context,” Rosenstein said. “You asked me about reading the FISA. There are a lot of FISA applications that come through. Some are more significant than others. This one was unusual in that I already knew about it because of the Russia investigation. Most of the FISA applications that are presented to me, I’m the last eyes on them before they’re filed with the court, and I know nothing about them. But this one I knew a fair amount about, and they gave it to me in advance so I could review it. Not sure I read every page, but I was familiar with what was in it.”

There were at least 17 “significant errors and omissions” that the FBI and DOJ made in their FISA warrant application.

The problem with the FISA court is that a secret court is not a good safeguard for the protection of the constitutional freedoms Americans should enjoy.

Sen. Rand Paul has proposed an amendment that would ensure that anyone wanting to wiretap an American citizen has to get a warrant from a normal court.

Rosenstein was ready to rubber stamp the warrant against Carter Page without fully reading it.

America should ensure that the FBI doesn’t use their power to conduct surveillance for political purposes.
