President Trump has a strained relationship with Fox News.
But no one knew how bad things would get.
And that’s because this Fox News host slammed Trump with an ultimatum that took everyone by surprise.
“Fox and Friends” fill-in host Jedediah Bila attacked President Trump’s legal challenges to what the President claimed was fraudulent voting in several states as fruitless.
Bila also claimed Joe Biden was the President-elect.
“As of right now, the evidence shows Joe Biden is the president-elect. There hasn’t been anything brought forth in court that has shown otherwise,” Bila told the Fox News audience.
Bila then cited a CNBC poll showing only three percent of Trump voters believed Joe Biden legitimately won the 2020 election as evidence Trump must concede.
“What’s concerning about the polling, I think, is that you worry that are we at a point country so divided no matter what is shown in court, even if it’s completely decisive, the process is over, and everything brought to the table, is a large segment of the population going to believe it was simply stolen or rigged simply because the president is saying so? So at some point, it’s gonna be incumbent upon him, it’s gonna fall on him,” Bila added.
Bila’s commentary is one reason President Trump routinely promotes competitors like Newsmax and One America News.
Viewers are also turning against Fox News on their own.
President Trump recently tweaked Fox about their declining ratings and unwatchable weekend programming which too often resembles the Trump Derangement Syndrome one expects to see on fake news CNN.
Speaking of Fox News Channel’s ratings, the President wrote that they “will go down much further. Weekend daytime even worse, dead. They still don’t get it. Fantastic alternatives! The late/great Roger Ailes is seriously missed, but I still won LEGAL VOTES by a lot!!!”
Fox News Channel is struggling through an identity crisis since the election.
Board members like former RINO Congressman Paul Ryan want to turn the page on Trump and go back to the Bush/McCain/Romney GOP.
Other left-wing hosts and executives at Fox want to neutralize the liberal critics that claim Fox is “state TV.”
But both of these goals run up against the fact that Fox New Channel’s audience tunes in for an alternative to the pro-Democrat Party narrative that dominates the liberal media.
And if Fox is going to turn into another CNN then the audience—and President Trump—will look for an alternative.
“With great power comes great responsibility to say ‘You know what, the process is done. This is the verdict. Let’s move on.’ That’s going to be up to him. A lot of supporters look to him for that guidance no questions and I think they’re reacting that way because of what he is saying.”
