Attorney General William Barr made the biggest announcement of his career.

President Trump and his supporters thought it was the beginning of a game changing victory.

Now William Barr is facing this challenge that just turned his life into a living nightmare.

Attorney General William Barr revealed a joint Departments of Justice and Homeland Security rule change to close asylum loopholes that act as a magnet for illegal aliens to game America’s immigration laws.

Under the new rules, illegal aliens from Central America lose their right to claim asylum unless they first apply for asylum in another country.

Open borders activists raced to the nearest pro-Obama judge in San Francisco to stop the President’s new asylum laws from taking effect.

“We have been expecting something along these lines for some time now,” deputy director of the Immigrants’ Rights Project at the ACLU Lee Gelernt declared. “We believe that the rule is an end run around the asylum laws Congress has passed and should be invalidated as inconsistent with the immigration statute.”

The liberal activists’ complaint alleged the administration’s rule change violated America’s international treaties.

“As part of our nation’s commitment to the protection of people fleeing persecution and consistent with our international obligations, it is long-standing federal law that merely transiting through a third country is not a basis to categorically deny asylum to refugees who arrive at our shores,” the complaint states.

Attorney General Barr fired back with a statement defending the rules.

“The United States is a generous country but is being completely overwhelmed by the burdens associated with apprehending and processing hundreds of thousands of aliens along the southern border,” Barr said in a statement. “This Rule will decrease forum shopping by economic migrants and those who seek to exploit our asylum system to obtain entry to the United States—while ensuring that no one is removed from the United States who is more likely than not to be tortured or persecuted on account of a protected ground,” the statement read.

Barr’s statement continued, “Only a small minority of these individuals, however, are ultimately granted asylum. The large number of meritless asylum claims places an extraordinary strain on the nation’s immigration system, undermines many of the humanitarian purposes of asylum, has exacerbated the humanitarian crisis of human smuggling, and adversely impacts the United States’ ongoing diplomatic negotiations with foreign countries. This rule mitigates the strain on the country’s immigration system by more efficiently identifying aliens who are misusing the asylum system to enter and remain in the United States rather than legitimately seeking urgent protection from persecution or torture.”

If past is prologue then the left-wing activist masquerading as a judge will rule against the administration and stop the rules from taking place.

The administration will immediately appeal and makeup of the three-judge panel hearing the motion to lift the injunction while the case is litigated through the court system.

American Patriot Daily will continue to cover any new developments in this ongoing story.
