William BarrWilliam Barr made it his number one priority to hold Barack Obama and his Deep State allies accountable for their crimes during the 2016 Presidential Election.

But Attorney General Barr’s mission to restore trust and faith in institutions like the FBI by presenting the American people with a full accounting of the spying against the Trump campaign just hit a major roadblock.

Now William Barr was seething with rage after this massive betrayal had Barack Obama breathing a sigh of relief.

Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz is set to release his long anticipated report about the FBI’s spying on the Trump campaign during the 2016 Presidential Election.

In the report, Horowitz is expected to criticize the FBI’s failure to follow procedures and list a series of mistakes the Bureau made in obtaining FISA warrants to spy on former Trump campaign aide Carter Page.

But according to reports based on leaks from FBI officials that read the report, Horowitz – who was appointed by former President Barack Obama – will claim that the FBI began the investigation on a sound factual and legal basis.

Attorney General William Barr does not share this conclusion.

And Barr is making his feelings known to close associates so they could get the word out in the media that Barr finds Horowitz’s report lacking.

The Washington Post exclusively reports that, “Attorney General William P. Barr has told associates he disagrees with the Justice Department’s inspector general on one of the key findings in an upcoming report — that the FBI had enough information in July 2016 to justify launching an investigation into members of the Trump campaign, according to people familiar with the matter.”

Attorney General Barr bases this conclusion on the fact that because his investigation into the origins of the Russian collusion hoax gave him access to agencies outside the FBI – such as the CIA – he has more evidence on what the Obama administration and FBI were really up to in the 2016 campaign.

The Post also reports “The attorney general has privately contended that Horowitz does not have enough information to reach the conclusion the FBI had enough details in hand at the time to justify opening such a probe. He argues that other U.S. agencies, such as the CIA, may hold significant information that could alter Horowitz’s conclusion on that point, according to the people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.”

Horowitz’s report is due out on December 9.

Two days later Horowitz will testify in public before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

But Barr’s investigation – which is run by United States Attorney John Durham and is now a criminal probe – is still ongoing.

While Obama loyalist Michael Horowitz took it easy on his former allies, there is no guarantee the Obama Deep State will receive the same preferential treatment from Barr and Durham.
