Donald Trump

Americans are hunkering down in their homes looking for any hint of good news about the coronavirus outbreak.

On a daily basis, the media bombards the public with dire warnings about the weeks ahead.

But now President Trump’s top doctor had a coronavirus message that every American must hear.

Vice President Mike Pence selected Dr. Deborah Birx as the response coordinator for the coronavirus task force.

Dr. Birx achieved the rank of colonel in the United States military, and in 2014, began serving as the United States Global AIDS Coordinator which gave her the honor of Ambassador-at-Large.

During a recent press briefing, Dr. Birx ripped the fake news media for trying to scare the American people with projections of over two million deaths and 60 to 70 million Americans infected in the coming weeks.

These scare stories were based on the projections of radical “global warming” alarmist Dr. Neil Ferguson at Imperial College in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Birx explained to the press and the American people that “there’s no model right now, no reality on the ground, where we can see that 60-70 percent of Americans are going to get infected in the next 10-12 weeks.”

“The predictions of the models don’t match the reality on the ground on either China, South Korea, or Italy,” Dr. Birx added.

Dr. Birx also blasted the fake news media for scare stories about hospitals circulating do-not-resuscitate letters to staff instructing them to cut off medical care for certain coronavirus victims which would essentially deliver a death sentence to those unfortunate patients.

“Please, for the reassurance of people around the world,” Dr. Birx explained to the fake news media to stop scaring the American people by asking them “to wake up this morning and look at people talking about creating DNR situations, do not resuscitate situations for patients, there is no situation in the United States right now that warrants that kind of discussion.”

There is no doubt the coronavirus outbreak is a serious situation.

It can be extremely deadly to vulnerable populations.

And while the media has a responsibility to cover and report bad news, it should not sensationalize or overhype stories to frighten people over worst-case scenario projections that are unlikely to come true.

Dr. Birx’s performance led to fake news reporters responding by claiming Dr. Birx – who was an Obama appointee – was now a Trump apologist.

MSNBC anchor Brian Williams – who was fired as the host of the NBC Nightly News for fabricating stories of heroic war reporting – mocked Dr. Birx, saying the President listens to data as having been translated from “the original North Korean.”

The fake news is worried that the American people believe the President managed the coronavirus outbreak well and now want to puncture holes in that support with scare stories and fearmongering.

But Dr. Birx shut that nonsense down.
