One of Trump’s greatest accomplishments of his presidency has been his judicial appointments.
There may be even another opening on the court before his first term expires.
And Trump just got some great news about the next Supreme Court opening.
President Trump won over conservatives across the country when he began appointing conservative judicial nominees almost from day one.
And since he’s taken office, Trump has appointed hundreds of conservative judges to courts across the country.
Additionally, Trump has also appointed two conservative Supreme Court nominees, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
These two judicial appointments have been the cornerstone of one of Trump’s greatest accomplishments during his first term in office.
And the odds that Trump will get another Supreme Court opening either in this term or in his second are sky high.
Trump could end up appointing several new members of the nation’s highest court before he leaves office.
And he just got some great news that will boost him in any fight with the left to get more judges appointed.
The Daily Caller reports, “A new conservative advocacy group called the Article III Project (A3P) launched Saturday, promising to promote and defend President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees at the confirmation stage and after they take the bench.”
“The Article III Project is the latest addition to the GOP’s formidable judicial confirmation architecture, which significantly outpaces its leftwing counterparts.”
The treatment the left directed at Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process is proof that a conservative group is needed to punch back against the left’s onslaught of attacks that they will direct any anyone that Trump nominates.
And this group could be just what Trump was looking for.
“A3P will punch back and help confirm President Trump’s judicial nominees, defend these new judges from left-wing attacks once confirmed, defend the integrity of the confirmation process, and fight back against the assaults on judicial independence — including radical court-packing, term-limit, and even impeachment schemes,” A3P president Mike Davis said in a statement announcing the group’s launch.
When Trump gets another Supreme Court opening, he will have to go through another round of leftist attacks on his nominee, and nonsense attempts to derail the nomination process just like he saw last time around.
And now, there’s a group out there that will push for the Senate to confirm Trump’s nominees, and push back against lies directed at them.
“Davis said additional outside efforts are needed to protect Trump’s nominees from ‘unprecedented obstruction and baseless attacks.’ Though judicial politics have inflamed partisan passions for decades, recent confirmation hearings have taken an especially acerbic tone,” adds the Daily Caller.
“For example, Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island regularly inveighs against the ‘Roberts Five,’ the senator’s shorthand for the Supreme Court’s conservative majority. In one such oration — which was typical of his other remarks on the subject — Whitehouse accused the high court of setting off on ‘partisan excursions’ to protect ‘big Republican interests,’” concludes the Daily Caller.
