Another major Democrat was brought down by a sex scandal.
This Democrat touted himself as a champion of women and the leader in the fight against Donald Trump.
But his career-ending scandal is even worse than anyone could have imagined.
New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigned in disgrace after the New Yorker published a bombshell story where four women accused him of physical abuse.
The Daily Caller reports:
“New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman resigned from office Monday night following serious allegations that he was physically and emotionally abusive to multiple women.
The New Yorker reported Monday that four women accuse Schneiderman of being abusive toward them, including slapping them, choking them and controlling their behavior in extreme ways. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo called for an investigation into Schneiderman’s conduct and urged him to resign as AG.
Schneiderman denies the allegations and claims his actions were part of “role-playing” scenarios between consensual adults.
In an official statement released hours after the allegations surfaced, Schneiderman announced that he would resign as attorney general but doubled down on denying the women’s claims.”
Of all the #MeToo scandals, this may be the worst.
Schneiderman used the #MeToo movement to advance his political ambitions.
Schneiderman used his office to investigate Harvey Weinstein, meanwhile allegations were floating around that he too was a monster.
The New York Attorney General wanted to ride that wave – as well as his lawsuits against the Trump administration – to possibly one day run for higher office.

That all came crashing down with the New Yorker’s report.
Schneiderman is the latest liberal who was a so-called “champion” for women’s rights who ended up being a predatory abuser.
He joins Bill Clinton, Harvey Weinstein, Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer and countless other liberals in the club of accused abusers.
