Attorney General William Barr is the Deep State’s Grim Reaper.
He is using his position to bring sanity and fairness back to the Department of Justice.
And now the Deep State is freaking out after William Barr did this one thing.
The media doesn’t really talk about “Russia collusion” anymore.
With the release of Robert Mueller’s report, it’s clear it’s been a myth since day one.
Trump did not collude with Russia and is a legitimate President.
So the media is moving on and trying to change the narrative altogether.
But William Barr isn’t letting them off that easily.
He is getting to the bottom of the entire Russia investigation.
For two years, this conspiracy theory has made the President’s life a living hell and divided America more than it’s been in decades.
That’s why William Barr is investigating the origins of the Russia investigation.
The investigation predates even Robert Mueller and goes back to at least the summer of 2016, when it first became clear that Trump would challenge Hillary Clinton.
Everything started with Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee hiring Fusion GPS to compile a dossier to find dirt on then-candidate Trump.
The man tasked with compiling the dossier was former British spy Christopher Steele.
And he found a lot of information, despite it never being verified.
That information quickly made its way to the Justice Department through DOJ employee Bruce Ohr, who happens to be married to Fusion GPS employee, Nellie Ohr.
While compiling the dossier is likely not illegal, the way it spread throughout the government and the way it was used brings up a lot of questions.
That’s why Barr is looking into it.
Specifically, he’s interested in its use to obtain FISA surveillance warrants into Trump campaign officials during the campaign.
This is an outgoing government spying on a political opponent after all.
And now, according to New York Times sources, Barr is interviewing at least two CIA officials about this dark time in American history.
U.S. Attorney John Durham is leading the DOJ review for Barr and is interviewing a senior CIA analyst and senior counterintelligence official.
The interviews are to get to the bottom of the spying by gathering the information the CIA provided to the FBI about Russia in the summer of 2016, along with information about officials in the Trump campaign.
Barr’s concern is that they were abusing surveillance authority and using faulty information from shoddy sources.
Former Rep. Trey Gowdy has in recent days alluded to the possibility that unverified source was Steele and that former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey were in on it.
If it turns out that FISA surveillance abuse exists, it is bad news for the Deep State.
