Donald TrumpDonald Trump is counting on Senate Republicans to hold the line in any Senate impeachment trial.

Democrats sense Republican senators stand on the verge of breaking with President Trump.

And this top Republican let the cat out of the bag on if the Senate will convict Donald Trump on articles of impeachment.

The fake and corrupt news media is clearly rooting for impeachment.

So-called “journalists” want Donald Trump gone because they are worried whoever the Democrats nominate for President cannot win the election.

That’s why the liars and fakers in the so-called “mainstream” media play up every development in the impeachment witch hunt as a “bombshell” that is “devastating” for President Trump.

Fake and corrupt news reporters hope to take advantage of the fact that Republican senators exist in the Washington, D.C. media bubble and frighten them into abandoning the President by manufacturing a false sense that the walls are closing in.

The latest act in this play was European Union Ambassador Gordon Sondland revising his testimony to claim it was his guess that military aid to Ukraine was withheld over a quid pro quo.

Even though Sondland only stated this was his assumption, the fake and corrupt news media warped his testimony into Sondland admitting to a corrupt quid pro quo over Ukrainian military aid.

Following this attempt to murder the truth, so-called “journalists” immediately raced to Republican senators in the hopes they could frighten them into throwing President Trump overboard.

But so-called “journalists” were in for a major disappointment.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told reporters that as of today, the Senate would vote to acquit President Trump on any partisan articles of impeachment the Democrats ended up passing through the House.

“I will say I’m pretty sure how it’s likely to end,” McConnell told reporters. “If it were today, I don’t think there’s any question — it would not lead to a removal. So the question is how long does the Senate want to take? How long do the presidential candidates want to be here on the floor of the Senate instead of in Iowa and New Hampshire?”

“I’m not going to comment sort of on a routine daily basis on all that’s breaking surrounding this story over in the House,” the GOP leader said. “At some point, it looks to me like they’re going to send it over to the Senate. As you all know that means we have to take it up.”
