The anti-American national anthem protesters are a cancer.

But just how sick is the NFL for tolerating this diseased behavior?

Well one set of ratings numbers show some very bad news.

Ratings are tanking.

The league’s television numbers are down nearly 19 percent from 2015 – the last year before players revealed how much they despise America and began spewing racist propaganda about the country and flag.

The Sporting News reports:

NFL games averaged 15.1 million viewers through Week 7, according to Nielsen data obtained by Sporting News. That’s down 5.1 percent from 15.87 million viewers during the same period last season and off 18.7 percent from 18.35 million viewers during the same period in 2015.

Viewership numbers are lagging for a variety of reasons, not least the ongoing protests during the national anthem that former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began in 2016. Fans are still angry about Kaepernick’s continued unemployment as well as what’s seen as the growing politicization of the NFL.

In addition, President Donald Trump continues to attack the league for not forcing all players to stand during the anthem. Commissioner Roger Goodell and player reps met last week to seek a way forward, but there wasn’t much progress, and players continue to protest.”

Nearly two dozen players knelt or protested the national anthem during week 7, and Trump once again ripped the league for their lack of leadership.

Polls have shown that the number one reason fans are not watching the games is because of the displays of America-hating put on by the players during the anthem.

And TV networks are scurrying to try and cover up the demonstrations.

Networks rarely show the anthem for fear of alienating viewers if they see anti-American ingrates disrespecting the military by taking a knee.

Of course, this is after promoting the anti-American protests blew up in their face.

Anti-American demonstrators received universal praise and constant network attention in the immediate aftermath of Trump speaking out on behalf of Americans who don’t like the image of spoiled millionaires disrespecting the flag.

It was nearly impossible to find an analyst, host, or commentator who didn’t rush to show they lined-up with the anti-anthem protesters.

But now the protests are killing the league’s bottom line.

So everyone is trying to pretend like these demonstrations don’t exist.

Owners such as the Dallas Cowboys’ Jerry Jones admitted as much.

But the question remains, have the protests done permanent damage?

Will fans return to the game if players stop disrespecting the flag and military?
