Megyn Kelly continues to shock her liberal audience.

Ever since she moved to NBC from Fox News, she has struggled to find her place.

But now she may be in big trouble after this racist video went viral.

Megyn Kelly Attacks Left-Wing Identity Politics

On a recent broadcast, Kelly took social justice warriors to task for ruining Halloween.

She complained about how modern day liberals whine if a white person dresses up as a Native American Indian.

Liberals claim this is “cultural appropriation,” and it’s led to all sorts of politically correct Halloween parties and costumes.

“I have to give you fair warning,” Kelly began. “I’m a little fired up over Halloween costumes this morning. I mean, truly, political correctness has gone amok. There are strict rules on what you may and may not wear, issued by someone who thinks they’re the boss of you.”

“You can’t wear anything Mexican-based,” Kelly continued. “You cannot dress as a Native American. That’s apparently been some rule for a long time. You can’t dress as a nun. I mean, isn’t the purpose of Halloween to dress up and pretend you’re something other than yourself?”

However, Kelly’s next comments were what really got her in trouble.

She described how when she was a kid it was normal for white people to dress up in blackface.

“But what is racist?” Kelly stated. “Because truly, you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Like, back when I was a kid, that was okay, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.”

Megyn Kelly Makes A Mistake

Kelly went on to describe an incident on a popular reality TV show where one of the white stars dressed up as Diana Ross.

This caused a massive amount of outrage.

“There was a controversy on ‘The Real Housewives of New York’ with Luann, as she dressed as Diana Ross, and she made her skin look darker than it really is,” the NBC host recounted. “And people said that that was racist. And I don’t know, I thought, like: Who doesn’t love Diana Ross? She wants to look like Diana Ross for one day? I don’t know how that got racist on Halloween. It’s not like she’s walking around in general.”

Kelly’s guests – Melissa Rivers and NBC reporter Jacob Soboroff – both agreed that the costume was racist.

That led Kelly to push back.

“I can’t keep up with the number of people we’re offending just by being, like, normal people these days,” Kelly said.

Megyn Kelly Apologizes

The backlash was immediate.

Online trolls, as well as fellow journalists, attacked Kelly for racism.

Megyn Kelly knew she was in trouble.

She quickly apologized in an email to NBC staff.

“Listening carefully to other points of view, including from friends and colleagues, is leading me to rethink my own views,” Kelly wrote. “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep.”

She added, “I’ve never been a ‘pc’ kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age. Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year.”

But some took this as another sign Kelly was angling to go back to Fox News.

Liberal NBC hosts do not attack the social justice warrior’s politically correct regulations on public behavior.

NBC reportedly gave Kelly a 3 year, 69 million dollar contract.

So far, it has not worked out for either side.

Kelly may have misfired in this segment, but it may also be possible that she’s trying to get back in the good graces of her conservative audience so she can return to Fox News.
