Nancy PelosiThe 2020 election is just around the corner.

And already, the battleground states of the Midwest that Trump won in 2016 are projected to be the key swing states of the next election.

And a shocking report from one top state that will decide the next election just left Nancy Pelosi panicking.

After stunning the country and the world in 2016 by defeating Hillary Clinton in an upset unlike anything seen in decades, President Donald Trump is set to try and replicate his winning map in next year’s presidential election as he seeks a second term in the White House.

And for Trump, that means his path to a second term runs right through the heartland of the American Midwest.

Trump destroyed the “blue wall” in 2016 by flipping several states that hadn’t voted for a Republican presidential nominee for roughly 30 years, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

And if he hopes to win re-election in 2020, Trump will have to pull off victories in these states once again.

After Democrats won several hotly contested races in all three of these states in 2018, things began to look bleak for Trump.

But one shocking new report from the swing state of Michigan just made it clear that Trump can absolutely win the upper Midwest for a second time, potentially guaranteeing him re-election if he can pull it off.

Axios reports, “Some swing voters here who voted for Barack Obama and then Donald Trump are firmly in Trump’s camp now — and they’re sick of impeachment. Trump won Saginaw County by just over 1% in 2016, and Obama won by nearly 12% in 2012.

These voters hate the fact that House Democrats are moving toward impeaching the president. They call it a distraction from the issues that would actually improve their lives, like preserving Social Security, cracking down on illegal immigration, and keeping jobs in the U.S.”

This is devastating for Democrats and could mark the beginning of the end for their attempts to defeat Trump in 2020.

It could also explain why Democrats are working overtime to impeach the President, because signs are beginning to show that they could lose critical midwestern swing states.

“The only way these folks are ‘swing’ voters anymore is in their willingness to either sit out the next election or vote for a third-party candidate,” concludes Axios.

Democrats need to peel these voters back to their camp if they want to retake Michigan and other midwestern states next year.

And if the best they can do is simply get these people to stay home or vote for a third party, they’re already halfway towards losing the next election.

Ever since Trump blew the lid off of the so-called “Blue Wall” in 2016 by winning every single midwestern state except two – Minnesota and Illinois – Democrats have been panicking about how to win them back.

And this report from Axios suggests they simply can’t.
