Kim Jong Un is desperate to flex his country’s nuclear muscles.

The rogue dictator believes a nuclear stockpile will cement his family’s rule over the communist nation.

But he just made a stunning decision that changed everything.

In September, North Korea conducted their most powerful nuclear test to date.

They detonated what experts believe to be a hydrogen bomb which was more powerful than what was used to devastate Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

But the test came at a price.

It destabilized the mountains at the Punggye-ri test sites which caused massive cave-ins and rendered it unusable for a long period of time.

This reportedly infuriated Kim Jong Un who wanted the test to have taken place in the spring as opposed to the fall, as well as the disastrous fallout which resulted in the collapse of the tunnels under the site and the death of 200 workers.

After it was reported that Jong Un ordered the execution of General Hwang Pyong-so – who was considered the second most powerful man in North Korea – an unnamed official ascended to his position and took responsibility for the failure.

He disappeared and experts believe this means he was executed.

The Daily Mail reports:

Kim Jong-un has executed a second official in just five days over a launch delay at North Korea‘s test missile site.

The unnamed executive allegedly took responsibility for setbacks at the Punggye-ri nuclear base which led to the date of a rocket launch being pushed back.

Five days ago, a high ranking official once described as the ‘second most powerful man in North Korea’ disappeared from public life, sparking speculation he may have been executed by death squads.

It is understood the most recent victim was the director of Bureau 131 – a man in charge of the building and running of the nuclear base.

Reports in the Japanese paper Asahi Shimbun suggest the director has been at the helm since it was formed.

The suspected execution was handed down over a delay to Pyongyang’s sixth missile test and the subsequent collapse of tunnels which killed 200 workers.

A source told the paper: ‘It seems he took the blame as the prolonged mining of the nuclear facility pushed back the test date to September when it was initially set for spring.”

Another nuclear test by North Korea could mean war.

Donald Trump will not allow North Korea to obtain a nuclear weapon that will reach any part of the United States.

It’s clear Kim Jong Un is pushing closer to that red line.

Will his madness lead to war?

Or will he pull back from the brink?
