Joe Biden is among the biggest names in the Democratic Party who hasn’t yet jumped into the 2020 race for president.

Yet as the former Vice-President prepares to make his final decision on whether he will run, Biden may have just wrecked his campaign before it even begins.

What he said about America will leave your jaw on the floor.

Joe Biden is one of the most prominent Democrats who has yet to jump into the 2020 presidential election.

The former Vice-President is rumored to still be mulling his options as pundits and activists expect a decision to be made within the coming weeks.

But as Biden prepares to either get in or stay out, he may have just made one of the worst mistakes of his political career.

The Daily Caller reports, “Former Vice President Joe Biden blasted President Donald Trump in everything but name at a defense summit, as he declared America “an embarrassment” before European allies.”

Insulting the very country you hope to govern as president isn’t exactly the best way to kick off a presidential campaign, or endear yourself to the hearts of the very voters you plan to win over.

If Biden is planning on running, he couldn’t have found a more self-destructive thing to say.

According to the Daily Caller, “Biden, in an extended apology that prompted loud applause from the delegates at the NATO Munich Security Conference Saturday, suggested the United States had abandoned its bedrock principles and commitment to Europe.”

Slamming the United States to the rest of the world, and to other American allies nonetheless, is perhaps one of the worst things a U.S. citizen can do.

The fact that it came from someone who had previously served as Vice-President speaks volumes about who Biden is as a person, and what he thinks about the country that bestowed upon him the second highest elected office in the country.

Biden also broke with decades of precedent.

For most of this country’s history, it was unheard of to have someone as politically active as Biden trash the United States while addressing foreign nationals, let alone military and economic allies of America.

Biden threw all of that out the window.

This is made all the worse by some of the claims that Biden put forward about the United States.

The former Vice-President and rumored 2020 presidential candidate went so far as to trash America for failing to uphold “human decency” and other essential tenants of democratic and republican governments.

And this came at the same time that Biden himself stated his wish is to restore “civility” and “respect” to American politics.

He could learn a thing or two by applying his own advice to himself.

It’s one thing to disagree with your political adversaries, even vehemently.

It’s another to throw the entire country you are a citizen of under the bus just for the sake of getting applause from others.

Do you think Joe Biden may have just doomed any presidential ambitions by attacking the United States while overseas?
