Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions have been at odds for months.
Trump believes Sessions betrayed him by recusing himself from the Russia investigations.
And now Sessions knows his days are numbered after Trump noticed this big scandal.
Trump Questions Sessions About Deep State Scandal
Trump reacted to news reports about the growing evidence that the Department of Justice had worked to frame him for collusion with Russia.
Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson’s lawyer informed Congress he intended to take the Fifth Amendment rather than testify.
Critics believe he was not truthful in his earlier testimony about his contacts with high-ranking DOJ official, Bruce Ohr.
They believe Fusion laundered the fake news about Trump and Russia to the FBI through Ohr.
Trump demanded to know why the DOJ was still employing Ohr.
“Conflict between Glen Simpson’s testimony to another House Panel about his contact with Justice Department official Bruce Ohr. Ohr was used by Simpson and Steele as a Back Channel to get (FAKE) Dossier to FBI. Simpson pleading Fifth.” Catherine Herridge. Where is Jeff Sessions?
Is it really possible that Bruce Ohr, whose wife Nellie was paid by Simpson and GPS Fusion for work done on the Fake Dossier, and who was used as a Pawn in this whole SCAM (WITCH HUNT), is still working for the Department of Justice????? Can this really be so?????
Trump Reveals If He Will Fire Sessions
Two Associated Press reporters interviewed Trump in the Oval Office.
They pressed him on his plans to fire Sessions over the special counsel probe.
The President began his answer by explaining that Sessions never should have recused himself.
“Well, the probe is ridiculous. OK. That that probe was even started. Jeff Sessions should have never recused himself. He did it for … and he did it immediately. He should have told me that. And he recused himself. And even people that are not my friends say that was a horrible thing that he did to the president, a horrible thing. He should be ashamed of himself for doing it. He should have told me that beforehand. And if he would have told me that beforehand, I probably would have put somebody else in the Department of Justice. But Jeff Sessions should never have recused himself.”
Then he stated he had no plans to fire Sessions at the moment.
“I just haven’t said I was going to fire him. We’ll see what happens. But if you ask me: Am I thrilled? No, I am not thrilled,” Trump stated.
Sessions responded to Trump’s criticism by saying he was working to implement the President’s agenda.
He also said the President had not pressured him to resign:
“The president speaks his mind, says what’s on his mind at the time. He’s been frustrated about my recusal and other matters, but we have been so pleased and honored to be given responsibility to execute his agenda.”
Despite these statements, many experts believe Trump will remove Sessions after the midterm elections.
