Donald TrumpWhile President Trump is making major strides to defeat ISIS, there are still small cells that are active.

They are largely attempting to commit atrocities on U.S. soil.

And an ISIS terrorist just did one horrifying thing proving Trump right on a top issue.

Donald Trump has been demanding secure borders since the day he announced his campaign for President.

He accurately points out that the illegal immigrants coming across the border include a large number of criminals and even Islamic terrorists.

The left continues to claim that he is fear-mongering, arguing that terrorists are not working to abuse the U.S. immigration system.

But all their arguments are going out the window following the arrest of Ruslan Maratovich Asainov.

Asainov is a 43-year-old supporter of ISIS, who is now facing charges for five counts of conspiracy to provide material support to ISIS.

The arrest report claims that he was providing personnel, training, expert advice, assistance and weapons to ISIS fighters.

It is alleged he also received military training from ISIS fighters.

And most troubling of all is that he was welcomed into the United States due to the “diversity Visa lottery” system.

The U.S. granted him citizenship in 2006.

President Trump wants to do away with the lottery system on immigration, and instead implement a merit-based system.

He believes that the United States should be allowed to decide who can become citizens and that using a lottery system is not the best system to bring in productive citizens.

Since 2012, 72,794 people have been given the same opportunity for citizenship while coming from countries that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) consider state sponsors of terrorism.

It is troubling that terrorists are abusing these systems in an attempt to declare war on the United States.

And this isn’t the first time a terrorist abusing the U.S. immigration system has been arrested.

In 2016, nine Somali refugees were arrested and found guilty of attempting to travel to Syria to join ISIS.

And even more disturbing, in this case, is that Ilhan Omar stood up for the men, penning a letter requesting a lenient sentence for the violent Islamic extremists.

She said that incarcerating them for 30 to 40 years, which is the recommended sentence, would essentially be a life sentence.

Omar claims that the best way to deter Islamic extremists from joining ISIS is to be compassionate.

“The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion,” the letter reads.

There is no telling if Omar plans to stand up for this terrorist as well.

But one thing is clear, and it’s that the current immigration system doesn’t work.

Anybody can easily walk across the U.S. border, and likely avoid being captured.

And if they are caught, they just need to have a child with them, which will make it much more difficult for them to be deported.

But while these are the obvious problems with illegal immigration, the U.S. needs to address some of the legal mechanisms that people with ill intent can abuse.

That’s why Trump is working to do away with the lottery system when it comes to immigration, along with chain migration, and birthright citizenship.
