Conservatives are understandably outraged at the misconduct that has trickled down from The White House.

What is known now is that the targeting of conservative groups was so widespread and lopsided the liberals did everything they could to cover it up because of the obvious criminality of their actions.

And yet, that still hasn’t stopped Dems from trying to knock conservatives down another peg or two.

As The Hill notes:

In the wake of the IRS targeting scandal, the Democrats are publicly prodding the agency instead of lobbying them directly. They are also careful to say the IRS should treat conservative and liberal groups equally, but they’re concerned about an impending tidal wave of attack ads funded by GOP-allied organizations.

Much of the funding for those groups is secret, in contrast to the donations lawmakers collect, which must be reported publicly.

One of the most powerful groups is Americans for Prosperity, funded by the billionaire industrialists Charles and David Koch. It has already spent close to $30 million on ads attacking Democrats this election cycle.

“If they’re claiming the tax relief, the tax benefit to be a nonprofit for social relief or social justice, then that’s what they should be doing,” said Sen. Mark Begich (D), who faces a competitive race in Alaska. “If it’s to give them cover so they can do political activity, that’s abusing the tax code.”

This is all well and good, but the problem isn’t that companies are being targeted for running afoul of IRS regulations, but are in fact being targeted because of their beliefs.

A recent Washington Post article noted that the IRS was instructed to target groups whose main function was to educated Americans about their constitutional rights.

As the Washington Post wrote:

According to the inspector general’s report (pp. 30 & 38), this particular IRS targeting commenced on Jan. 25, 2012 — the beginning of the election year for President Obama’s second campaign. On that date: “the BOLO [‘be on the lookout’] criteria were again updated.” The revised criteria included “political action type organizations involved in…educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.”

What’s evident is the Democrats are willing to pull out all the stops to ensure the conservative movement is stopped dead in its tracks.

Sadly enough, this blatant display of corruption isn’t being penalized, and the IRS continues to claim they’ve in no way desecrated the law of the land by making these moves.

The IRS is no friend to conservatives, it’s clear.

And one thing else is obvious, underneath the Obama administration your liberties are disappearing fast.
