CNN is the media leader in the resistance to Donald Trump.

Trump-hating pundits and anchors plaster the network’s airwaves with negative and biased coverage.

But now one of their most famous hosts just crossed the line by threatening to kill Trump.

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain hosts ‘Parts Unknown’ on CNN.

He is a dedicated liberal and fervent anti-Trump personality.

But his hatred of Trump crossed into the disturbed as he threatened to kill Trump by poisoning his food.

The Blaze reports:

Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain quipped last week that he would serve poison to President Donald Trump should he ever have the chance to cook for the president.

Bourdain’s bite-sized comments were caught on camera by TMZ after a staffer outside of LAX asked the chef what he’d prepare for the president.

But the chef’s comments beg the question: Why hasn’t the response to his rhetoric reached a fevered pitch yet like it did when comedian Kathy Griffin posed for a controversial photo shoot featuring a prop resembling a bloodied Trump head?

When asked by a TMZ cameraman what he would serve Trump for dinner, Bourdain glibly answered, “Hemlock.”

You can watch the video of his remarks below.

Bourdain is the second CNN host to find themselves in hot water over threats on Trump’s life.

Comedian Kathy Griffin was fired after she took part in a photo shoot where she held a mock-up of Donald Trump’s bloody and severed head.

The ensuing outrage led to her ouster as CNN’s New Year’s Eve co-host.

So far, Bourdain has not been disciplined for making a threat on Trump’s life.

This is not Bourdain’s first brush with political controversy.

In 2010, he blasted tea party activists as “marginal” and “very angry white people.”

Mediaite reports:

“Anthony Bourdain hosts a food and travel show called No Reservations on the Travel Channel. Friday he joined CNN’s Candy Crowley, conservative rock star Ted Nugent and AC 360host Anderson Cooper to discuss political issues of the day. Known for his candor, Bourdain did not disappoint in his frank assessment of the Tea Party movement, labeling those involved “very angry white people.”

When asked by Cooper if he’d ever attended a Tea Party, Bourdain responed: “You know, I was just reading “Hellhound on His Trail,” a book about the assassination of Dr. King and about…particularly about the Wallace for president campaign in California back then. And you’re looking at, I think, at basically the same demographic: a lot of marginal, very angry white people.” He then admitted, as a proud liberal, that he was actually pleased with how he expects the Tea Party movement to affect the coming elections. “They’re insuring that no reasonably electable Republican will be President. They’re taking over the party in a way that makes them look more or less crazy.”

Do you think CNN should fire Bourdain?
