The midterm elections are less than 60 days away.

Politicians and pundits hang onto every polling data from races across the country.

That’s why Chuck Schumer was fuming when he saw these new poll numbers.

The Senate Is In Play

Democrats need to flip two Republican seats to seize control of the Senate.

They have a chance to pull that off.

Republicans face tough races to hold onto their seats in Nevada and Arizona.

In both races, Republicans ran moderate candidates who did not support Donald Trump.

Democrats are energized and GOP voters will not turnout for Republicans who bashed Trump.

But Democrats have problems of their own.

They must hold ten seats in states Donald Trump won.

Trump racked up huge margins of victory in some of these states such as North Dakota, Montana, West Virginia and Indiana.

Chuck Schumer Fumes Over New Polls

Fox News released fresh polling data.

Chuck Schumer was not happy.

Republican Kevin Cramer leads North Dakota Democrat Senator Heidi Heitkamp 48 to 44 percent.

In Indiana, businessman Mike Braun holds a slim 45 to 43 percent lead over Senator Joe Donnelly.

Democrat Krysten Sinema leads Republican Congresswoman Martha McSally 47 to 44 percent.

Republicans gaining seats in North Dakota and Indiana close off any path for Democrats to take control of the majority.

Even if they won Arizona and Nevada, the GOP would still hang on to their majority.

There is one other race to watch.

In Tennessee, Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn bests former Governor Phil Bredesen 47 to 44 percent.

This is a sleeper race.

Democrats believe they can win because of Bredesen’s popularity.

One recent poll found he owned a 69 percent favorable rating.

Chuck Schumer’s Thoughts On The Senate

Schumer and others think they can lose North Dakota and make up that loss in Tennessee.

He appeared on a New York City radio show and said winning the Senate is a “hard task.”

But Schumer added he thought the Senate was in play.

“I would call it neck and neck. I can’t be certain at all that the Democrats will take over the Senate, but it’s a much greater possibility now than it was even two months ago,” he said.

These latest Fox News polls show how close the races are.

While Republicans hold the lead in enough states to keep the Senate, the races are within the margin of error.

That means Democrats could still win enough seats to take over the Senate.

Democrats are also favored to win the House.

If they win the Senate, they can impeach the President.

But if Republicans hang on, Democrats may not move on impeachment.

Republicans running the Senate also means they will continue to confirm Trump’s conservative judges.

Chuck Schumer will block Trump from stacking the bench with well-qualified conservative jurists.

No Trump supporter wants to see that disaster unfold.
