The 2020 presidential election is well underway.
And Democrats are looking to deny President Trump a second term.

The Democratic field for president in 2020 is rapidly growing to one of the largest in history.
Governors, Senators, and everyone in between are throwing their hat in the ring to get a chance to face off against President Trump in November 2020.
But while the Democratic primary cycle is heating up, some eyes are already looking towards the general election.
You need 270 electoral votes to become President of the United States.
President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election after flipping several major midwestern swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan which helped put him over the top.
And he’s looking to replicate that pattern once again as he seeks a second term.
But while Democrats seek to come up with a new electoral strategy to get them to 270 electoral votes, they’ve already written off one of the largest swing states in the country, which a history of electing the president going back to 1960.
The Daily Caller reports, “Democratic PAC “Priorities USA” announced that Ohio isn’t on the list of states that Democrats feel they need to win in order to defeat President Donald Trump in 2020, according to a Wednesday report.”
Priorities USA is the largest and most influential Democratic PAC that will be spending millions of dollars supporting whoever the Democratic nominee is against President Trump.
It was founded by top Obama campaign official Bill Burton to support Obama’s 2012 re-election.
And they’re writing off Ohio, long considered the mother of all swing states.
Priorities USA would not make this move without the knowledge and the approval of top Obama world officials including maybe even Obama himself.
President Trump carried Ohio by over 8 points in 2016, which was an astounding victory against Hillary Clinton.
Ohio is usually decided by just a few points. Trump’s victory in the state was one of the largest in roughly 30 years.
It could be a sign that Ohio is moving towards the right and that it may be less competitive in 2020 than it was in the past, similar to other states in the Midwest that have moved to the right as well, including Missouri and Iowa.
The fact that Democrats are going to be more or less ceding the state to Trump without a single shot being fired is huge.
It could be a sign that the Midwest is moving in the direction of the Republican Party after decades of being a swing region.
And it will make President Trump’s path to re-election much easier if Ohio starts out the 2020 race in the Republican column.
Ohio has voted for the winner of every presidential election since 1960, and its record of voting for the winner in all presidential elections since being admitted into the Union is rivaled by almost no other state out there.
No Republican has ever won the White House without carrying Ohio.
