Schiff and the Democrats are staging public hearings to try and fool the American people into supporting impeaching and removing President Trump from office.
Polls show this is a heavy lift as the President retains rock solid Republican support.
That means Schiff and his fellow conspirators in the coup against the President can’t afford any slip ups.
But just as the Democrats thought they were turning the corner on this fight, Schiff and his allies just made their biggest mistake to date.
Schiff intended to call former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch as one of the star witnesses of the Democrats’ public impeachment show trial hearings.
The President recalled Yovanovitch in the spring of 2018 after Rudy Giuliani allegedly informed Donald Trump that Yovanovitch – who was an Obama holdover – was badmouthing the President behind his back.
Yovanovitch serves at the pleasure of the President, and Donald Trump has the right to recall Yovanovitch from her posting whenever he wishes and for whatever reason he wishes.
But Schiff and the Democrats, with help from Yovanovitch and her allies in the Deep State, spun a fairy tale that President Trump firing Yovanovitch was due to a desire to eliminate an obstacle to Trump and Giuliani’s scheme to blackmail the Ukrainian government into investigating Joe Biden by withholding military aid.
The fake news media presented Yovanovitch as a nonpartisan super patriot that was blindsided by a corrupt President who threw American national security out the window in a lust to advance his own political ends.
As usual, this was a lie.
It turns out Yovanovitch allegedly committed perjury in her closed-door testimony.
And what was Yovanovitch hiding?
That Yovanovitch colluded with Democrats in the days after alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella filed his phony complaint with the Intelligence Community Inspector General.
Tucker Carlson broke the story that two days after the so-called “whistleblower” – that media reports claim is registered Democrat Eric Ciaramella – filed his complaint, a staffer on the Democrat-led House Foreign Affairs Committee emailed Yovanovitch.
“I’m writing to see if you would have time to meet up for a chat — in particular, I’m hoping to discuss some Ukraine-related oversight questions we are exploring. I’d appreciate the change to ground-truth a few pieces of information with you, some of which are quite delicate/time-sensitive and, thus, we want to make sure we get them right,” the staffer – identified by Fox News as Laura Coley – wrote to Yovanovitch.
New York Congressman Lee Zeldin pressed Yovanovitch on this email under questioning.
Yovanovitch claimed she alerted the State Department to the email and that someone from over there responded.
The question and answer between Zeldin and Yovanovitch went as follows:
ZELDIN: Was that person responded to by you or someone else?
MS. YOVANOVITCH: I believe, yes, by [redacted] in the Legislative Affairs office.
Yovanovitch blatantly lied.
In fact, Yovanovitch responded to the email writing that she “would love to reconnect and look forward to chatting with you.”
Critics suspect the only reason Yovanovitch would lie about not responding to this email is because Yovanovitch tried to cover up the fact she colluded with a top Democrat in the wake of the so-called “whistleblower” complaint being filed.
The so-called “whistleblower” first conspired with Adam Schiff’s staff before filing their complaint.
Yovanovitch allegedly lying about her contact with a Democrat congressional staffer in the wake of this phony complaint being filed leads many Americans to wonder just how wide the circle of conspirators was that set this sham in motion.
