You may have seen how over the weekend Kid Rock lost his spot hosting a parade of lights in Nashville after he said “Scr*w that Behar b*tch” after “The View” host made some disparaging comments about President Trump.
And while you may expect that kind of an outburst from a well-known rock star…
You may not expect Joy Behar’s mild-mannered cohost to go off on her during live television.
But that’s exactly what happened yesterday. Meghan McCain gave Behar a piece of her mind when Behar refused to show respect for George Bush.
After his passing, George Bush has been the subject of many segments where people reflect on his memory.
The View was one of the programs who dedicated a portion of their show to cover the President and his accomplishments.
And what was supposed to be a moment of reverence and respect…
Turned into an on-air argument.
McCain Shuts Down Behar On Air
Behar apparently couldn’t resist using the time to take a swipe at Trump. That didn’t sit well with McCain, which is somewhat surprising when you consider the things Trump had said about her recently deceased father.
If you didn’t see the exchange the segment is viewable here, or you can read the exchange below.
“He seemed to be coming from a loving, kind place,” Behar said of Bush. “That’s what I’m gleaning from what they’re talking about, that he was loving.”
“He was also known for his humility as president,” McCain added while noting that Bush was the last president to serve in the armed forces.
“He was there to serve the people,” the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) added.
Behar later brought up Bush signing into law the Clean Air Act amendment in 1990, before bringing Trump into the conversation.
“As a candidate, he said, ‘Those who think we’re powerless to do anything about the greenhouse effect are forgetting about the White House effect,’ ” Behar said. “Then he signed into law the Clean Air Act amendment of 1990, one of the most sweeping environmental statutes ever.”
“This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that he did and Obama did,” she continued. “And if I ever become a one-issue voter, it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect and the fact that—”
McCain then interjected that she wanted to keep the focus on Bush.
“Can we focus on the president, please? I don’t want to talk about Trump.”
“Well, I do for a second, so excuse me!” Behar shouted. The two then spoke over each other.
“We’re honoring a great president who passed—” McCain argued.
“Excuse me a second, please. I want to talk about the difference—” Behar shot back.
“But we’re honoring — but I’m not interested in your one-issue,” McCain replied.
“I don’t care what you’re interested in because I’m talking!” Behar said.
“I don’t care what you’re interested in either!”
There’s no doubt about it, the liberals who are on TV don’t care about facts… their feelings are the only thing that matter.
