The Democrats number one goal is to remove Donald Trump from office.

Prominent members of the party like Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are demanding to move on impeachment right away.

But everything changed when Nancy Pelosi said five words about impeaching President Trump that you won’t believe.

The biggest question hovering over Washington is will Democrats be able to contain their hatred for Donald Trump and not pursue a politically motivated impeachment scheme to try and nullify the results of the 2016 election?

Many experts believe if the Democrats launch an impeachment proceeding ahead of Trump’s re-election campaign, it will only boost the President’s chances.

So Speaker Pelosi tried to put the speculation to rest during an interview with the Washington Post.

Pelosi told the Washington Post, “I’m not for impeachment. This is news. I’m going to give you some news right now because I haven’t said this to any press person before. But since you asked, and I’ve been thinking about this: Impeachment is so divisive to the country that unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don’t think we should go down that path, because it divides the country. And he’s just not worth it.”

The Speaker then tried to mollify her base by ranting about how Trump is “not fit” for office.

“I don’t think he’s fit to be president of the United States. And that’s up to us to make the contrast to show that this president — while he may be appealing to you on your insecurity and therefore your xenophobia, whether it’s globalization or immigrants — is fighting clean air for your children to breathe, clean water for them to drink, food safety, every good thing that we should be doing that people can’t do for themselves. You know, I have five kids, and I think I can do everything for them, but I can’t control the air they breathe, the water that they drink. You depend on the public sector to do certain things for the health and well-being of your family, and he is counter to that,” Pelosi raged.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler echoed Pelosi’s statements and told CNN, “She laid down a number of conditions – it has got to be bipartisan, the evidence has to be overwhelming – which is what I’ve been saying.”

Nadler continued, “I’ve stated my position: It has to be enough evidence that you think you’ll get substantial support from opposition voters.”

Nadler’s remarks shocked many observers.

He launched a fishing expedition with over 80 requests for documents.

But his comments confirm that his investigation is just a public show-trial.

If Democrat Party leadership is trying to head off the base’s demands for impeachment, then these investigations are nothing more than a bunch of kangaroo courts meant to smear President Trump ahead of his re-election campaign.
