Hillary Clinton spent decades trying to stay out of prison.

She found herself caught up in one scandal after another.

But she could not believe how close she was to ending up in jail.

Hillary Clinton’s History Of Criminal Conduct

Hillary Clinton owns a long history of criminal acts.

Her problems with the law date back to the 1990s.

In fact, former Special Prosecutor Kenneth Starr wrote in his new book that he wanted to indict Clinton in 1995.

Starr claimed Clinton committed perjury when she said “I don’t recall,” or “I don’t remember,” over 100 times in front of a grand jury.

He wrote, “In the space of three hours, she claimed, by our count, over a hundred times that she ‘did not recall’ or ‘did not remember.’ This suggested outright mendacity. To be sure, human memory is notoriously fallible, but her strained performance struck us as preposterous.”

Clinton treated her grand jury appearances like a joke and Starr was outraged.

“What was clear was that Mrs. Clinton couldn’t be bothered to make it appear as if she were telling the truth,” Starr continued.

Her behavior forced Starr to think about charging her with perjury.

“I was upset over Mrs. Clinton’s performance, and was even considering bringing the matter before the Washington grand jury for possible indictment on perjury,” he wrote.

Starr did not charge Clinton because he felt proving she lied would be a tough hurdle to clear.

The Clinton Family’s History Of Lying Under Oath

Starr did prove Bill Clinton perjured himself.

He lied under oath about his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

Republicans ended up impeaching him because of that.

He also lost his law license.

Starr talked about the Clinton’s conduct in the White House and wrote that they, “knowingly embarked on a continuing course of action that was contemptuous of our revered system of justice.”

Hillary Clinton Escapes Jail Again

Hillary Clinton escaped jail again just recently.

Former FBI Director James Comey refused to charge her for mishandling classified information on her private email server.

Many critics argued it was an open and shut case.

But Comey let her walk because he thought she was going to win the election.

In addition, many Republicans argued she lied to Congress.

Clinton told Congress that no emails were marked classified on her private server.

She lied.

The FBI found 110 emails on 52 email chains containing classified information.

Americans wondered why she was allowed to escape criminal charges for this lie.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions also refused to charge her for lying.

Trump and many of his supporters lost faith in Sessions over this lack of action.

They think the law she be applied equally.

The DOJ is jailing Trump allies for lying to the FBI, meanwhile, Hillary Clinton faces no jail time.

Many Americans see this as Clinton getting special treatment.
