Sometimes President Trump says things so bombastic it’s startling. He’s known for big, bold claims and sometimes they are full of sound and fury, but have no substance. At least,  That’s how the media wants to paint Trump.

But frankly, the media has set out to skewer President Trump from the moment he took office. Outlets like Buzzfeed and CNN have released fake news dossiers about Trump, which sullied his name. They have also tried to spin his budget cuts as racists and bigoted.

So it’s no surprise that Trump has everyone calling for him to say “sorry” to the special snowflake Obama who could do no wrong according to the Left.

Even those in the intelligence are say that Trump should walk back his words. Former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who served under President Obama, is calling on Trump to apologize to Barack Obama for accusing the former President of bugging his Trump Tower.

“He probably should apologize to the president, President Obama. And frankly, he should move on.”
Panetta argued that the accusations affect the presidency’s credibility.
“I don’t get it, and I don’t think America gets it, as to why the president continues to defend his statements here,” he said.
Panetta argued Trump’s allegations are affecting U.S. relationships with other nations.

But here’s the thing. Trump tweeted that he found out he was bugged. He then sat down with Fox News a few days later and Tucker Carlson asked him how he found about it. Trump said he was reading about wiretapping in the New York Times and then he said a few other things before telling Carlson he couldn’t go into details about how he found out, because it was before committee and he doesn’t want to weaken any agency.

The media is having a hayday over this. They’re spinning Trump’s words to say he found about it in the news. He never said that.

In fact, a more likely explanation is this:

“The Secret Service does ECM sweeps, electronic counter-measures, where they go in frequently and look for listening devices, radio frequencies, all kinds of things to make sure the president or president-elect is not being, in fact, wiretapped or listened in on on specific phone lines,” Bongino revealed.
The former agent, noting Trump had Secret Service protection as a candidate, thinks it’s much more likely the Secret Service discovered something while performing one of their ECM sweeps of Trump Tower and later found out it was the DOJ that had ordered the surveillance.
“That makes total sense, but of course the media’s not really interested in the story, because they want to find fault with Trump. So their story’s gonna be, ‘Did Trump force the FBI to tell him he was being monitored in some kind of an investigation?’”

It’s really not hard to imagine Obama bugging Donald Trump. The NSA already had him on surveillance for years. So Trump shouldn’t back down from this. If there is real proof, he should show it to America and get it behind us.  And take Obama to task for the illegality of it.
