Mitt Romney is the leading #NeverTrump RINO.

Since Romney announced he was running for Senate, pundits automatically assumed it meant he would use it as a launching pad to challenge Donald Trump in 2020.

But Romney stunned everyone with this major prediction about Trump’s fate for re-election.

The former two-time failed Presidential candidate was hosting a who’s-who of the GOP establishment’s donor class at his home in Deer Valley, Utah.

Romney addressed his thoughts about President Trump’s chances in 2020.

The audience was stunned when Romney predicted Trump would win fairly easily.

Romney stated “I think President Trump will be re-nominated by my party easily, and I think he’ll be reelected solidly.”

In his remarks, Romney said he believed the Democrats would nominate an insane leftist and that voters would credit Trump for the booming economy and rising wages.

Romney explained:

“I think that not just because of the strong economy and because people are increasingly seeing rising wages, but I think it’s also true because I think our Democrat friends are likely to nominate someone who is really out of the mainstream of American thought and will make it easier for a president who is presiding over a growing economy.”

There is evidence on both counts to back up Romney’s prediction.

A recent NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found 60% of Americans are satisfied with the economy.

The same survey also found 44 percent of Americans believe the economy has improved and give Trump credit versus just 27 percent who believe the economy has improved but don’t give Trump credit.

In the 2018 primaries, Democrats have been nominating rabid leftists to harness the energy of their angry “resistance” base.

For example, in Georgia, Mariah Parker was elected to the Athens-Clarke County Commission, one of Georgia’s biggest cities.

For her swearing-in ceremony, Parker refused to place her hand on the Bible.

Instead, Parker swapped out the Bible for a copy of the “Autobiography of Malcom X” and raised her fist in a racist black power gesture.

This type of radicalism is not a one-off.

Deputy Democrat National Committee Chairman Keith Ellison was seen wearing a shirt that said “No Borders.”

Americans should expect to see the candidates for the 2020 Democratic nomination engaged in a contest of who can pander to their base’s racist, identity politics obsessed majority the most.

Romney also delivered his prediction for the 2018 midterms.

Romney declared the GOP would retain the House on the strength of the Trump economy declaring, “I think that growth and the higher incomes people are seeing means that Republicans will do just fine in November,” he said. “I think we will hold the House, I think we’ll hold the Senate. I know a lot of pundits don’t believe that. I think we will.”

Do you agree with Romney that Trump will be re-elected and the GOP will over-perform in 2018?
