Former Republican presidential nominee and lifetime conservative politician, Pat Buchanan, has some dire news for the American voter — yet it is hardly surprising.

Buchanan recently wrote a scathing editorial on the terrible state of politics and corruption in our government, declaring, “Yes, Virginia, the system is rigged.”

Donald Trump has been stating throughout his campaign that the Presidential election is rigged for a Clinton win, and Buchanan laments on the sad state of our country that is turning away from the Constitution and our supposed system of checks and balances.

Buchanan points out one of the main issues with a new President:  appointing a new Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court.

He goes on to explain the failures of our system of checks and balances and disregard for the Constitution.

After all, the Supreme Court is no longer elected by “We, the People”, as it should be, because of the rise of unchecked power of the Executive Branch.

Buchanan’s analysis for Newsmax shows just how far removed from Constitutional law our elected officials are, and warns it is only going to get worse.

“Where did these unelected jurists get the right to impose their views and values upon us, and remake America in their own secularist image? Was that really the Court’s role in the Constitution?

How did we wind up with an all-powerful judicial tyranny in a nation the Founding Fathers created as a democratic Republic?”

In the last fifty years, our government has drawn farther and farther away from the U.S. Constitution and the intentions of our Founding Fathers.

In fact, our American government in its current state is exactly what the Founding Fathers were trying to prevent.

The big money liberal media controls the election of our President, the office of the President grows in power because the Legislative branch cannot unite for the common good, and the Judicial branch is nominated and confirmed by these branches, without an actual vote of the people.

Buchanan points out the increasingly liberal state of our Union, influenced by the money and power of the elite, who in turn, run the national media powerhouse.

Buchanan describes how the liberal mainstream media has become the driving force in politics in recent years.

The media leviathan will stop at nothing to destroy Donald Trump and praise Hillary, claiming their First Amendment right to free speech.

But, of course, they only want the Constitution upheld when it suits their needs.

The media is bought and paid for by the ad dollars of corporate America, and thus, wields the power to influence — and control — what American voters see and hear day in and day out.

And the media’s increasing attacks on Donald Trump stem from their fear that Americans are tired of being told what to do.

Trump’s meteoric rise to the Republican nomination shows that the American people are ready for politicians to speak the truth without sugar-coated political correctness.

Newsmax reports on Buchanan’s comments:

“Consider Big Media — the elite columnists and commentators, the dominant national press, and the national and cable networks, save Fox. Not in this writer’s lifetime has there been such blanket hatred and hostility of a presidential candidate of a major party.

‘So what?’ they reply. ‘We have a free press!’

But in this election, big media have burst out of the closet as an adjunct of the regime and the attack arm of the Clinton campaign, aiming to bring Trump down.”

And like Donald Trump, Pat Buchanan is telling us like it is — how we have come to the point where a corrupt, proven liar has risen in power, unchecked like a Third World dictator, taking down anyone in her way with the help of her media buddies.

Buchanan tells Newsmax:

“We now know, thanks to leaked emails, that not only the superdelegates and the Obama White House but a collaborationist press and the DNC were colluding to deny [Bernie] Sanders any chance at the nomination.

The fix was in. Ask Sanders if he thinks the system is rigged.

That would mean the end of the USA as a unique, sovereign and independent nation.

But the American press, whose survival depends upon the big ad dollars of transnational corporations, is more interested in old tapes of the Donald on The Howard Stern Show.”

But it seems that finally the American public is catching on — and ready for change.

With only weeks until the Presidential election, we will see if we are ready to take back our country and live by the U.S. Constitution as intended by our nation’s Founders — or live the coming years with more of the same from corrupt politicians.
