It’s no secret, liberals are not a fan of President Trump.
Ever since Trump was elected, liberals have been wailing in the streets holding protests and rallies, chanting things like “Not My President” and “Love Trumps Hate”.
In fact, many protesters have even resorted to acts of violence and rage to demonstrate their bitter hatred towards Trump.
But while liberals have made their distaste for President Trump well known, this magazine has finally crossed the line by threatening to assassinate the President of The United States.
On the front cover of Village, President Trump’s face is shown in the middle of a rifle’s crosshairs with the caption “Why Not”.
But there’s more.
This latest threat goes beyond normal partisan games, as the magazine article suggests readers take things into their own hands by taking out President Trump, literally.
“The Village article itself plays a clever editorial game. It begins by describing Trump as “a purveyor of hatred” and then lists all his other purported sins, including the mistreatment of refugees, an overall wrong-headed foreign policy, retrograde ideas on “climate change,” and opposition to abortion.
After that litany, the magazine considers the options: “So perhaps the solution is tyrannicide. As he might say himself—‘take him out.’”
Next, under the heading, “Kill Him?” the magazine proceeds to cite philosophers and theologians who have declared tyrannicide to be justifiable, from Cicero to Thomas Aquinas to Martin Luther. And then, to rub the point in even harder, the magazine admiringly recalls the German Klaus von Stauffenberg, who nearly succeeded in killing Hitler in 1944. The message is obvious: Trump is another Hitler, and so you, the reader, must decide for yourself what to do next.
Yet then, having raised all these issues in the most load-the-deck manner possible, the magazine pulls back, sort of, at the last moment. It writes, “Shooting Trump is unnecessary and disproportionate.”
But Village isn’t the first person to call for Trump’s life to be taken.
Many Hollywood celebrities have used their status and fame to wish ill upon Trump, and some have even admitted they want him dead.
As American Patriot Daily previously reported, Madonna is under Secret Service investigation for publicly admitting on national TV she’s thought about blowing up the White House.
And as Breitbart points out, this isn’t the first threat to President Trump’s life. In fact, more than 12,000 tweets have called for Trump’s assassination, too many for the Secret Service to investigate.
“And Twitter seems to be a favored venue: The online publication Mashable reports in just the first 12 days of the Trump presidency, more than 12,000 tweets have called for the President’s assassination. As the story notes, this volume of threats is far beyond the capacity of the US Secret Service to investigate.”
It’s one thing to disagree with the President’s policies and write an op-ed challenging his political beliefs.
But lately, the liberal media and Hollywood elite have taken things too far by encouraging protesters and anti-Trump supporters to commit acts of violence against President Trump and his administration.
What do you think of the Village’s latest article on Trump? Has the media finally crossed the line by suggesting readers take matters into their own hands and “kill him”?
