President Trump continues to let the media know he runs the show.

With fake news being propagated daily, Trump wastes no time publicly calling out those who write false stories.

While typically Trump tweets from his personal Twitter account, the media’s worst fear has just come true.

As President of the United States, Donald Trump has access to the official POTUS Twitter account, and all 16.4 million of its followers.

And Trump just proved he’s not afraid to use it.

Earlier this week, Trump used the official POTUS account to tweet an attack at the “failing” New York Times.

The Hill reports:

“The failing @NYTimes would do much better if they were honest!” Trump tweeted on both his personal and official White House accounts.”

The media is used to getting away with fake stories and false narratives, but not under Trump’s watch.

Many thought Trump would ease up the pressure on the media once he became President, but if anything else, Trump has doubled down.

In fact, as American Patriot Daily previously reported, Politico took a hit for the lies they spread in their fake news stories.

Politico is known to be one of the most biased liberal media sites, and oftentimes promotes fake news stories in order to favor their political bias.

For years, they have been spreading their falsehoods about many conservatives and their beliefs, and now, are receiving the cold shoulder for it.

And recently, President Trump barred certain liberal media outlets from attending a White House media conference in order to make certain the American people only received the truth.

Not only did trump bar certain media outlets from attending the press conference, he called them out for what they were – “fake news”.

New York Magazine reported:

President Trump declared that the “fake news media” — a collective made up of several leading American news outlets — was “the enemy of the American people.”

“I’m not against the media. I’m not against the press,” Trump said. “I am only against the fake news media or press.”

“Fake,” the president said. “Fake. They have to leave that word.”

Unlike past Presidents, Trump will not allow dishonest journalists access to briefings so they can turn around and write fake stories.

It’s clear President Trump controls the mainstream media, not the other way around.

When Trump tweeted his attack at the New York Times earlier this week, he linked a story from a New York Post columnist who admitted to canceling his Times subscription.

The Hill continues:

“The tweet linked to a piece by New York Post columnist John Crudele, in which he said he canceled his Times subscription “because I felt the paper had become ethically challenged in its coverage of the presidential election.”

Crudele ripped the paper’s coverage of the federal investigation into whether Trump associates helped Russia meddle in the 2016 election and Trump’s wiretapping claims.”

The media has been put on notice, if they promote fake stories, Trump will call them out. Even from the official POTUS Twitter account.

Do you think President Trump should be free to tweet whatever he wants from the official POTUS Twitter account?

Do you agree with Trump for publicly calling out fake news stories and publications?
