“Drain the swamp” was one of Donald Trump’s signature campaign promises.

However, many of his supporters wondered if he’d be able to carry it out once in office.

But Trump just took two major steps towards living up to his word.

The President booted a host of swamp creatures who had been actively sabotaging his administration.

The biggest move Trump made was firing FBI Director James Comey.

Comey publically announced the FBI was conducting a counterintelligence investigation into the possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

While no evidence yet exists to prove any of these allegations true, the media was desperate to provide oxygen to this story in an effort to damage the Trump Presidency.

And Comey was more than happy to play along and build himself political capital to avoid being fired since Democrats had called for his head after his conduct in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Trump referenced this hypocrisy on Twitter and declared that Comey’s firing would help drain the swamp.

Others noted that Comey politicized the FBI, and one way to drain the swamp is to get rid of bureaucrats who sacrifice their agency’s integrity for the pursuit of political ends.

But that wasn’t Trump’s only move to flush out the swamp.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt fired several global warming zealots burrowed deep within the government.

The Washington Post reports:

“ the Environmental Protection Agency and the Interior Department are overhauling a slew of outside advisory boards that inform how their agencies assess the science underpinning federal policies, the first step in a broader effort by Republicans to change the way the federal government evaluates the scientific basis for its regulations.

EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt decided to replace half of the members on one of its key scientific review boards, while Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke is “reviewing the charter and charge” of more than 200 advisory boards, committees and other entities both within and outside his department. EPA and Interior officials began informing current members of the move Friday, and notifications continued over the weekend.

Pruitt’s move could significantly change the makeup of the 18-member Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC), which advises EPA’s prime scientific arm on whether the research it does has sufficient rigor and integrity, and addresses important scientific questions. All of the people being dismissed were at the end of serving at least one three-year term, although these terms are often renewed instead of terminated.”

Trump campaigned on ending Obama’s war on coal and other forms of American energy.

Global warming fanatics are trying to hamstring the Trump agenda and the American economy with unproven junk science that claims human beings are causing the planet to warm.

They cloak their political activism in the guise of “science” in order to implement radical policies for the redistribution of wealth and to control people’s lives.

But Trump can’t pursue his agenda if bureaucrats are sabotaging his agenda and fueling the suspicion that he is under investigation despite no evidence of any wrongdoing.

Firing Comey and the global warming hysterics is a good step towards draining the swamp.

And fulfilling his promises is how Trump will keep his supporters loyal and enthusiastic.
