Americans recently learned the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server is far more expansive than previously thought.
It now includes the FBI digging into pay-for-play allegations surrounding the Clinton Foundation.
But the level of evidence the Bureau has amassed is stunning.
Despite the Bureau conducting a thorough investigation, higher ups at the Department of Justice have tried to thwart the proceedings at every turn.
These Obama appointees have acted as Hillary Clinton’s bodyguards to shield her from damaging revelations.
However, this has come at the expense of the American people.
The Department of Justice is supposed to be above politics.
But we know that under Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s leadership, the DOJ has been consumed by politics.
This also undermines America’s institutions.
The latest blow to the foundation of our democracy and justice system came when Obama appointees tried to slam on the breaks with the Bureau’s investigation into the corrupt dealings at the Clinton Foundation.
Despite mountains of evidence – including audio recordings of a suspect in a public corruption case discussing Clinton’s dealings – public corruption prosecutors continued to deny there was a case to be made.
The Wall Street Journal reports:
“Starting in February and continuing today, investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and public-corruption prosecutors became increasingly frustrated with each other, as often happens within and between departments. At the center of the tension stood the U.S. attorney for Brooklyn,Robert Capers, who some at the FBI came to view as exacerbating the problems by telling each side what it wanted to hear, these people said. Through a spokeswoman, Mr. Capers declined to comment.
The roots of the dispute lie in a disagreement over the strength of the case, these people said, which broadly centered on whether Clinton Foundation contributors received favorable treatment from the State Department under Hillary Clinton.
Senior officials in the Justice Department and the FBI didn’t think much of the evidence, while investigators believed they had promising leads their bosses wouldn’t let them pursue, they said.”
The investigation began when the book ‘Clinton Cash’ was published.
The explosive investigative work detailed how the Clinton’s sold access at the State Department.
Department of Justice public corruption prosecutors were initially skeptical of the findings and dismissed FBI investigators.
But once the agents obtained secret recordings of a suspect detailing the deals Clinton made, investigators believed they discovered a major break in the case.
However officials at the Department of Justice still wouldn’t yield.
The Journal also reports:
Prosecutors thought the talk was hearsay and a weak basis to warrant aggressive tactics, like presenting evidence to a grand jury, because the person who was secretly recorded wasn’t inside the Clinton Foundation.
FBI investigators grew increasingly frustrated with resistance from the corruption prosecutors, and some executives at the bureau itself, to keep pursuing the case.
As prosecutors rebuffed their requests to proceed more overtly, those Justice Department officials became more annoyed that the investigators didn’t seem to understand or care about the instructions issued by their own bosses and prosecutors to act discreetly.
In subsequent conversations with the Justice Department, Mr. Capers told officials in Washington that the FBI agents on the case “won’t let it go,” these people said.”
New revelations about secret recordings and Obama’s Department of Justice scheming to stymie an investigation into Clinton only adds to the pile of negative news burying Clinton’s campaign in the final week of the election.
Do you believe it’s enough to swing the election out of her favor?
