The so-called “mainstream” media is playing up the professional protests against Donald Trump’s executive orders to keep dangerous and unvetted Islamists out of America as if they are representative of our entire nation.
Even Barack Obama spoke out against the order because he claimed it went against American values.
But a new poll has left Obama and the media scrambling.
A just released Rasmussen poll found 57% of Americans agree with Trump’s executive order.
This more recent poll backs up findings from early January when a Quinnipiac poll found that by a 48% to 42% margin, voters supported suspending immigration from terror-prone nations, even if it meant turning away refugees.
The Daily Mail reports:
“The poll surveyed 899 voters nationwide by calling individuals on their landlines or mobile phones.
It found that, by a narrow 48 – 42 per cent, American voters support ‘suspending immigration from terror prone regions, even if it means turning away refugees.’
Under the President’s new executive order, refugee immigration is being suspended from the countries he has considered to be terror prone.
The poll also found that by a broader 53 – 41 per cent, voters support requiring immigrants from Muslim countries to register with the federal government.”
The so-called “mainstream” media won’t give these polls much attention because it contradicts their narrative.
In their telling, all of America is outraged, up in arms, and storming airports across the country in protest of possibly dangerous Islamists being barred from entering America.
And they doubled down on this framing as soon as Obama blasted Trump for the move.
Normally ex-Presidents refrain from criticizing their successors.
George W. Bush famously refused to comment on any of Barack Obama’s decisions.
But Obama doesn’t possess similar levels of respect for the presidency or the nation.
He weighed-in on the executive order through a statement from his spokesman, encouraging the professional protestors to continue sowing discord and chaos.

He gave his support for the protests even after a Trump supporter was knocked unconscious by thuggish goons at Portland International Airport.
Obama – like the media – believes these professional protestors are representative of America.
But while the media was whipping up a frenzy, White House aides believed the public was on their side.

And as the polls show, Trump and his staff were correct.
