obama-saves-isisWorried that Obama’s refusal to fight ISIS could hurt Democrats, Pentagon ordered to falsify intelligence reports

With the 2014 midterm elections just months away, and voters increasingly worried about the growth of ISIS, intelligence officials in the Pentagon were told to begin falsifying reports to cover up the terrorist group’s massive growth.

Obama’s declaration that ISIS was “the JV team” and posed no threat to the United States was a lie. The Pentagon was then ordered to lie in their intelligence reports so as to not conflict with Democrat efforts to keep control of the U.S. Senate.

An investigation reveals Defense officials were told to “cut it out” with reports showing ISIS rapidly conquering parts of Iraq and Syria.

Instead, they were ordered to “toe the line” issued by the White House in the weeks before the 2014 midterm election.

As a result, Obama intentionally neglected the threat of ISIS and allowed it to grow to the point where Christians are being executed and the group is now carrying out attacks in Europe and inspiring attacks in the United States.

Someone then attempted to destroy the emails in an attempt to obstruct an investigation.

The scandal is a repeat of Hillary Clinton’s refusal to provide proper security to the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which would cast doubt on claims by Obama’s re-election campaign that the area was secure.

As Fox News reports:

Analysts at U.S. Central Command were pressured to ease off negative assessments about the Islamic State threat and were even told in an email to “cut it out,” Fox News has learned – as an investigation expands into whether intelligence reports were altered to present a more positive picture.

Fox News is told by a source close to the CENTCOM analysts that the pressure on them included at least two emails saying they needed to “cut it out” and “toe the line.”

Separately, a former Pentagon official told Fox News there apparently was an attempt to destroy the communications. The Pentagon official said the email warnings were “not well received” by the analysts.

Those emails, among others, are now in the possession of the Pentagon inspector general (IG). The IG’s probe is expanding into whether intelligence assessments were changed to give a more positive picture of the anti-ISIS campaign.

Pentagon officials report they included in their daily briefings to Obama intelligence showing ISIS was rapidly gaining strength, and must be stopped before they grow large enough to pose a threat to Americans.

But instead of stopping ISIS before they took root, Defense officials report Obama “kept kicking the can down the road.”

That would be during the same time Obama was fighting to keep the Democrat majority in the U.S. Senate, a campaign which would be jeopardized by the revelation of a growing terrorist threat to Americans on his watch.

Not only was the Pentagon ordered to “toe the line,” they were ordered to make it appear Obama was beating ISIS by “us(ing) measures such as the number of sorties and body counts — a metric not used since the Vietnam War — to paint a more positive picture,” Fox News reports.

“Critics say this ‘activity-based approach’ to tracking the effectiveness of strikes does not paint a comprehensive picture of whether ISIS is being degraded and contained,” Fox continued.
