Obamacare continues to be a scourge in America’s side, even with Obama no longer in office.
After the initial Obamacare repeal act fell through, many were distraught to learn it would be even longer until Obamacare officially ends.
But a politician was just assured that Obamacare will end, and by the Chief Executive himself.
Rand Paul and President Trump recently met at a golf club to talk through some political issues.
At the forefront of Paul’s concerns was the erasure and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.
While the initial replacement for Obamacare fell through due to its similarities to the current ACA, Rand Paul has confirmed that he has hope for a better plan to be put into place by President Trump.
Breitbart News reports:
“We had a great day with the president. Played some golf, and we talked and we talked about a little bit of health care,” Paul told reporters after the game. “I continue to be very optimistic that we are getting closer and closer to an agreement on repealing Obamacare.”
The group golfed at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, not far from Washington, D.C.
Rand Paul has been one of the toughest opponents against Obamacare, and is very assertive for its repeal.
Breitbart News reports:
Paul remains one of the toughest opponents of the House drafted bill to replace Obamacare, asserting that it doesn’t sufficiently repeal the bill. Earlier in the week, Paul met with journalist Matt Drudge of the Drudge Report to discuss the future of the country.
“Intriguing lunch in hill office of America’s best senator, Rand Paul,” Drudge wrote afterwards on Twitter. “He’s bold, brave and has somehow kept his heart in such a corrupt city.”
While the government continues to plan for a new replacement of the Affordable Care Act, people remain without quality health insurance that they can afford.
Rand Paul has his own idea for an Obamacare replacement, although it has not been well received by Republicans in Congress.
Fox News reports:
Paul, an eye doctor and Tea Party favorite, has his own ObamaCare replacement plan, which he argues goes further than the Republican House leadership plan to fully repeal and replace the 2010 health care law, under which consumers are facing rising costs and fewer policy options.
White House official Stephanie Grisham said earlier Sunday that the threesome would discussing several issues at the club but that health care would be “a big topic.”
