The Democrats and the press are feverishly working to undermine Donald Trump’s Presidency.

The latest example is the conspiracy theory that the Russians hacked the election to elect Donald Trump.

And now, Obama’s latest actions have some Democrats dreaming up ways to steal the Presidency away from Trump.

Recently, Obama ordered a report for all Russian-related hacking activity to be completed before he leaves office.

Democrats have been bellyaching about why Hillary Clinton lost the election and have settled on Russia as one of their boogey men.

Critics are arguing, however, that Obama is trying to distract from his role in Clinton’s defeat, since he said her loss would be an insult to his legacy.

CNN reports:

“President Barack Obama has ordered a full review into hacking aimed at influencing US elections going back to 2008, the White House said Friday.

“The President has directed the Intelligence Community to conduct a full review of what happened during the 2016 election process. It is to capture lessons learned from that and to report to a range of stakeholders,” White House Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Adviser Lisa Monaco said at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast with reporters Friday. “This is consistent with the work that we did over the summer to engage Congress on the threats that we were seeing.”

White House spokesman Eric Schultz added later that the review would encompass malicious cyber activity related to US elections going back to 2008.”

Following this announcement, the Washington Post published a questionable story with no named sources or any evidence to back up the claims from some CIA officials who believe the Russians interfered in the election to elect Donald Trump.

They claim the hacked emails of the Democrat National Committee and of campaign chairman John Podesta were provided to WikiLeaks by the Russian government.

But there is no evidence to back up this claim.

Nor does the report represent a “consensus”, which would mean much stronger finding.

And the FBI disagreed with the assessment that the Russian government was acting to elect Trump.

Instead they maintain the evidence points to attempts to undermine confidence in the electoral system.

But that hasn’t stopped Democrats and those on the left from using Obama’s conspiracy theory to push schemes to steal the Presidency from Donald Trump.

Democrat Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI) claimed Electoral College voters should take the matter into account when they meet on December 19th.

Politico reports on his statement of encouraging rouge electors to steal the Presidency:

“A Democratic congressman is suggesting that members of the Electoral College should be able to consider Russian interference in the presidential election — and whether it influenced the outcome — when deciding how to cast their vote.

“To the extent that foreign interference in the United States presidential elections may have influenced the final result, I believe the electors have the right to consider that,” Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.) said in a statement to POLITICO on Saturday. “

Former CIA officer Bob Baer appeared on CNN and said the report demanded the United States redo the Presidential election.

Newsbusters reports on Baer’s remarks calling for a new election:

“ROBERT BAER: We’ll never be able to decide whether they changed the outcome.

But I’ll tell you, having worked in the CIA, if we had been caught in interfering in European elections or Asian elections or anywhere in the world, those countries would call for new elections. Any democracy would. And I just, I don’t see it any other way.

The Electoral College, before the 19th, has got to know whether the Russians had an effect. Whether they went to Wikileaks, whether they hacked e-mail, and whether they affected American opinion. And they had a good reason not to go out, to go after Hillary Clinton, because Putin hates her for the Ukraine.

BORIS SANCHEZ: Bob, if I’m hearing you correctly, you’re saying we should have another election? How would that work? Is that plausible?

BAER: When a foreign country interferes in your election and the outcome is in doubt, the legitimacy of the government, I don’t know how it works constitutionally, I’m not a lawyer, constitutional lawyer, but I’m deeply disturbed by the fact that the Russians interfered.

And I would like to see the evidence. Because if the evidence is there, I don’t see any other way than to vote again. I mean, as an American citizen.”

Will Obama’s embrace of this conspiracy theory succeed in helping the Democrats hijack the election?
