Obama spent the entire term of his 8-year presidency forcing his liberal agenda down the throats of the American people.
His signature piece of legislation “Obamacare” left millions of Americans with skyrocketing healthcare costs.
The burdensome federal regulations Obama imposed onto businesses forced many to close their doors and set up shop overseas.
And most troubling, Obama’s immigration policies allowed dangerous illegal immigrants to cross the borders and set up camp in America’s neighborhoods.
Obama’s favorite tool to force his policies through was the Executive Order, and he abused it often.
In fact, Breitbart reports just two years ago that Obama’s executive order shielded and protected millions of illegals living in America from being deported.
And after 8 years of an Obama ruled nation, America is in shambles.
Since the beginning of his campaign, Trump has pledged to clean up the mess Obama has caused and vowed to “Make America Great Again”.
Trump’s top campaign priorities included stopping illegal aliens from crossing the borders, repealing Obamacare, and bringing jobs back to America.
Now that voters have overwhelmingly placed their confidence in Trump and elected him to be America’s next president, Trump has the power and ability to fix Obama’s mess by any means necessary.
Obama is terrified that President-elect Trump will undo his liberal policies so he issued Trump a firm warning which screams, “Do as I say, not as I do.”
In a desperate attempt to maintain his legacy, Obama pleads with Trump not to use the Executive Order, and instead tries to steer him towards working through the legislature.
“Keep in mind, though, that my strong preference has always been to legislate when I can get legislation done,” Obama said from the Cabinet Room in the White House. “In my first two years, I wasn’t relying on executive powers, because I had big majorities in the Congress and we were able to get bills done, get bills passed. And even after we lost the majorities in Congress, I bent over backwards consistently to try to find compromise and a legislative solution to some of the big problems that we’ve got — a classic example being immigration reform, where I held off for years in taking some of the executive actions that I ultimately took in pursuit of a bipartisan solution — one that, by the way, did pass through the Senate on a bipartisan basis with our help.”
But while Obama attempted to portray himself as a “bipartisan” leader, he bragged earlier that all he needed was a “pen and phone” to impose his executive actions.
Fox News reported:
“Going through the legislative process is always better in part because it’s harder to undo,” Obama said.
The pen-happy president may be learning the hard way, after he accelerated his use of executive actions in his second term. Frustrated by Republican opposition in Congress, Obama in 2014 had openly shifted tactics to rely on executive and administrative actions to pursue his agenda.
“I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” he declared at the time.”
Elections have consequences. American voters sent a loud and clear message that they were tired of Obama’s failed policies.
With Trump set to take office in a matter of weeks, he has the power to undo Obama’s previous orders.
