Barack Obama used his year-end press conference to brag about his supposed accomplishments.

According to him, the economy is doing great and America’s place in the world is more secure.

But among all the nonsense he spouted, one major lie stood out.

Obama previously claimed that no foreign power had directly ordered a successful terrorist attack on American soil.

This Clinton-esque parsing of language was very specific.

But it’s a lie.

Terrorists have struck in America and they have been inspired by foreign actors such as ISIS.

Writing for The Blaze, Carlos Garcia points out:

“The statement came during a long list of what he considers his accomplishments, but it stood out as among the most questionable, since he framed it in such a legalistic manner.

Clearly there have been terrorist attacks on the American homeland that could be considered as ordered by the Islamic State, just not directly coordinated. The San Bernardino, California, terror attack might not have been directly ordered by ISIS, but the attackers specifically pledged allegiance to the terror group, and their tactics were those encouraged and propagated by ISIS. Obama specifically said that the Orlando, Florida, terror attack was not “directed” by ISIS — it’s almost as if he was preparing the narrative on each attack just so that he could make this claim.

President Obama’s parting Christmas gift to those murdered by terrorists and their families is to brag that at least they weren’t directly ordered by foreigners.”

This wasn’t the first time Obama made this claim.

He repeated this misleading boast at his final national security speech at MacDill Air Force Base.

The Daily Caller reports:

“President Barack Obama used the last national security speech of his tenure to review his legacy, specifically the claim that he prevented terrorists from planning and executing an attack on U.S. soil.

“Over last eight years, no foreign terrorist organization has successfully planned and executed an attack on our homeland,” said Obama, while speaking to troops at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Fla.”

Obama’s entire foreign policy and counterterrorism strategy has been a failure.

It was his war on Libya and retreat from Iraq that created the space for ISIS to grow.

And his administration has been engaged in a politically correct fight against radical Islamic terrorism.

He refuses to say the words “radical Islamic terrorism”.

He even contends that emptying the prison in Guantanamo Bay will remove a recruiting tool for terrorists.

But none of Obama’s actions have halted the spread of radical Islam or stopped terrorist attacks.

In fact, the deadliest terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11 occurred on his watch when a jihadist murdered 49 Americans at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
