Barack Obama is desperate to explain away the results of the 2016 election.

He made the contest all about him when he claimed his legacy was on the line.

Now that the people have spoken, he is telling the biggest lie of his presidency.

Appearing at a press conference with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Obama defended his administration and claimed Trump’s win was just a temporary fluke.

He boasted that “my vision” will ultimately win out in the long run.

Townhall reports:

President Obama offered his thoughts on the U.S. presidential election for the third time during his last international tour as president. Speaking in Athens, Greece with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Tuesday, Obama sought to defend his legacy despite the American people choosing Donald Trump to succeed him. “Last I checked, a majority agree with me on things,” Obama said. “Sometimes people feel as just we want to try something to see if we can shake things up. That was a significant phenomenon.”

The president said that we are going to have to “guard against a rise in a crude sort of nationalism or ethnic identity or tribalism that is built around us and them.”

Obama said he will “never apologize” for saying that the future of humanity is going to be defined by what we have in common, as opposed to those things that separate us and lead us into conflict.

Americans, he continued, know what happens when we divide ourselves along the lines of race or ethnicity or religion. It’s “dangerous,” he said, not just for the minority groups, but because we don’t realize our potential as a country when we’re preventing minorities like blacks or Latinos from “fully participating in the project of building American life.”

“So my vision’s right on that issue,” he concluded. “It may not always win the day in the short term, but I’m confident it’ll win the day over the long term.”

Obama’s entire presidency has been based on dividing Americans along racial, gender and religious lines.

He’s been the race-baiter-in-chief from the start of his presidency, when he attacked a police officer for acting “stupidly” in the Henry Gates incident.

Obama has also embraced the racially-charged and anti-police Black Lives Matter movement.

He’s also repeatedly attacked law enforcement for having a racial bias against blacks.

In his 2012 campaign, he accused Mitt Romney of waging a “war on women” because Romney opposed abortion in some cases.

And as for religion, Obama has often mocked Christians and their beliefs.

At one speech, he chided that they needed to get off their high horse when criticizing radical Islam because of what happened hundreds of years ago during the Crusades.

Obama further fudged the truth when he claimed the majority of Americans agree with him.

When Obama has said his policies are on the ballot, Democrats were slaughtered in the 2014 and 2016 elections.

Obama was a charismatic figure who was able to inspire turnout on the strength of his personal traits and biography.

He was popular.

His policies never were.

The signature achievement of the Obama administration – ObamaCare – has never polled with majority support and played crucial roles in the Democrat wipeouts of 2010, 2014 and 2016.

It’s not surprising that Obama is lying about his time in office on his way out the door.

His tenure ended with the Republicans in control of all levels of government and the Democrat Party at its lowest ebb in 80 years.

Some legacy.
