There is so much we don’t know about Barack Obama’s past.

He never released his college transcripts, and many of his more radical associations during his youth were never fully vetted by the press.

Now a new book exposes a bombshell secret from Obama’s mysterious past.

David Garrow is an award-winning journalist who has worked at the New York Times and the Washington Post.

He isn’t a partisan and his work is highly respected.

And he is releasing a new biography about Barack Obama – and it reveals that when Obama was a teenager he considered becoming a homosexual.

The Daily Caller reports:

“In a chapter about the former president’s two years at Occidental College, Garrow reveals a close relationship Obama had with an openly gay assistant professor named Lawrence Goldyn.

“Goldyn made a huge impact on Barry Obama,” Garrow wrote in the book. “Almost a quarter century later, asked about his understanding of gay issues, Obama enthusiastically said, ‘my favorite professor my first year in college was one of the first openly gay people that I knew…He was a terrific guy” with whom Obama developed a ‘friendship beyond the classroom.’Top of Form Bottom of Form

The biographer added, “Goldyn years later would remember that Obama ‘was not fearful of being associated with me’ in terms of ‘talking socially’ and ‘learning from me’ after as well as in class.”

“Three years later, Obama wrote somewhat elusively to his first intimate girlfriend that he had thought about and considered gayness, but ultimately had decided that a same-sex relationship would be less challenging and demanding than developing one with the opposite sex,” Garrow wrote. “But there is no doubting that Goldyn gave eighteen-year-old Barry a vastly more positive and uplifting image of gay identity and self-confidence than he had known in Honolulu.”

Did Obama experiment with being a homosexual?

Garrow refused to answer the question.

He said everyone deserved privacy in that regard.

But it peels back another layer to the mystery of Obama’s past.

Conservatives have long complained that Obama was never truly vetted when he ran for President.

All Americans knew about his past was the biographical information Obama framed in his own terms through his books and speeches.

The press wasn’t interested in looking into Obama because they swooned over his candidacy.

But if Obama’s past was thoroughly examined, would he have become President?

Not even Obama thinks so.

He recently told an audience that had there been social media during his youth, where everyone is open about how they live, he may never have become President.

Conservatives are wondering why these admissions are becoming public long after they would have any political impact.

It just adds to their case that the media was in the tank for Obama.
